Fafnir sucks

First time I've ever gotten a chance to fight this thing..yes I'm a noob. We tagged with only 10 ppl and held for 15mins for reenforcements to arrive.

Every linkshell there thinks it's funny to lag you out. I was at 10fps a lot of graphical settings turned down and faf still wouldn't render on my screen.

So because all the "respectable" LSes crowded us, a gilseller LS got to kill Faf. Granted, one LS was kind enough to back off only because I had a RL friend in it. Dunno if we would have won anyway, but raging Faf={All right!} fun to me.

True Strike, I don't think it's even possible to "Lag out" due to maybe 200 tops people being around you. People do worse in Aht Urghan with the 750 or so at beseiged.

Just like Palin said, this sounds like an excuse, I've never seen an entire alliance "lag out" and lose their fafnir. That many people having that crappy of a connection and that shitty of computers is not likely to happen... ever. Unless like all your whms d/ced and you had no other healers, idk.

No, I agree its not the best way to fight your first Faf. But its kinda unavoidable. Blame SE.

It happenes on all servers I think. Some people wil back away out of courtesy, some won't, there's really nothing you can do about it but try to deal with it.

Another thing that helps is lowering your background resolution to 256x256 or 512x512. It makes your game look like shit but will increase your FPS by a good 20-30. Try that next time.

Edit: Also go into your Windower config and change your screenshot settings to take as JPEG.

Depending on position and graphic effects, I've easily gotten down to 2 FPS. Its normal in aery. I've gotten down to 3-5 FPS while doing tiamat with only 40 in zone. It happens, just learn to deal with it.
