Completion Times?

This seems like to me one of the longer Final Fantasy games, how many hours were you into the game when you beat it?

I didn't complete it until the 3rd time I played, but my first time I was at 43 hours and at the bottom of Pharos. Judging by that I probably would've beaten the game in 50 hours or so, unless I had known 100% Bahamut was the final boss and finished hunts instead (which I had left partly undone)

I think if you go completely story and played first time through you could do in 40 hours or so. Which sounds short. I think the game was a shorter FF, but maybe I'm just a lot better at playing games than I was around middle school lol

I 'finished' it in ~44hours (was 43hours at the final save point). Didn't do much of the optional stuff, but I really didn't like the game that much, so I just wanted it over with :X

Wow. O_O Hunts aren't *that* fun, and at 47, you can't even do the ones that you would've progressed to anyways. =P If anything I thought you were going to say you were Lv99 and only at KRT. =P

based on how Ive progressed, Id say this game could have an initial speedrun of 30 hours and depending on luck considerably lower, possibly into mid 20s, and once a really good strat for being perfect on quickenings and weapon drops and leveling up really fast (looks like you need to be at least level 30 to safely beat the game for at least 3 characters) probably a little under, but 20 is the top Id say

to put it in perspective, I can speedrun FF6 in 16 hours (16:03 was my exact time)

My 3rd run through the game I skipped cs's and got to Pharos in like 20 hours. But I did keep myself lvl'd, never used quickenings and farmed to have gil for the best gear at all times. I also did a fair number of hunts otw except for some of the rare pops which I saved until later (ones I already beat in previous runs).

I'm thinking a speed run would be around 16 hours if you skipped CS's since you can skip pretty much every single one. I know there are people who could go through the game quicker than me.

I was at the final boss at about 45 hours but the last form raped me at like 30% I'm guessing. When I did finally kill him though I was at like 80 hours.

90 hours atm. I'm at the Bahamut fight but haven't gone up to "beat" the game yet. Still working on hunts, farming, leveling. Fran, Bacshe, and Ashe are all maxed on the License Board and level 61. Working on the other 3 when i hit 70 with them

Is there a second part of the story involving KRT or am I missing something?

As far as I know, the earliest you can get Zodiac Spear is heading to Archades when you go thru the Salikawood. That is pretty far past KRT, or at least the first time you go thru KRT.
