My comp downstairs was recently reformatted and it had FFXI on it, now that its reformatted, when i open playonline its really laggy and weird colored, my internet explorer is also laggy when i scroll down, any1 kno wats wrong? or can help me?

Are you running on 16bit or 32bit colors. You can check this by right clicking on your desktop and selecting properties. A window will appear with several tabs,select the tab Settings and check the "Color Quality" settings.

Badly scrolling in windows is a sign that something is wrong with your video card. You have not installed the drivers yet(you're using windows defaults) and if you are, you installed incorrect ones.

You have to actually install your video card drivers in order for your video card to work -_-

Right now your computer is just doing VGA emulation via the processor.

installed drivers, got all problems fixed, ffxi is back up and working like a charm, ty guys

Unless you have certain ATI video cards that do better with their original drivers than the fucking Catalyst bullshit.
