How hard are Ethers to get?

How hard is it to get Ethers in this game? My lvl 23-25 pty just beat Ring Wyrm but it took me using 5 of my 11 Ethers to do it. I was thinking of resetting because that was a ton of ethers to use, or should I just not worry about it because they are easy to come by in the future (i.e. can you buy them from shops later?).

    Thanks ^^

Don't have rely on ethers early in the game, get sme quickenings and boost your mp and should be fine. I rarely run out during boss fights, anyways.

secret shop in Nabrudia (sp) sells it, going there at your level wouldn't be bright.

You can buy them from Nabudis iirc later on after you kill King Bomb, but its quite a ways into the game.

    Edit: Beat to it =/

Well my suggestion would be lvl a bit more and get ypourself some Equip from Rare Game Mobs. Ring Warm should be no problem that way.
Had no problem killing it on Lvl 31 w/o using any Mist or Items^^

One really important thing is though...its totally underated, but Berserk on your "Main Tank" will work wonders.

Haha, that is the only way I won, I zerked Basch w/ 1900 hp and a polearm and let him go to town, then everyone just cure spammed him and used ethers when they got to no mp. (I don't use Quickenings ever) Do you guys think it is worth it to get the Icebrand now and have Ring Wyrm done or should I just reset and get my ethers back?

Only time I ever used an ether-like item before was during the fight on Leviathan at the beginning (don't want to spoil the boss name) where I used an elixir on Penelo and she finished the boss in one more hit with everyone else dead. I was severely underlvl'd at that time XD

They're a source of income for me <.<

I don't get why most people dont keep all the pt members leveled. I rotate out all my chars after they level and have everyone at 47 now. Sure i could be 60+ if i just used 3 but they all have different things to offer. Every boss i seem to use a different combonation of chars and its a lot of fun. Plus its great if i'm fighting something really hard and need a backup healer/dd when hp/mp gets low. Just don't get it.

Because you have 2 Mages 2 Melee 2 Tanks.
Only need 1 of each in a party. You can be lv 1 and throw Phoenix Downs.

I don't setup like that...everyone is able to tank, heal and melee in my party lol Basch is considered the tank and decoyed, though he tanks with Zodiac Spear. Ashe is considered the healer (higher hp< ? macro) but everyone has Curaja macro'd and I think Vaan heals for 9999x4 on that now. All 3 use Maximillian armor atm too lol

    Meh I just have it set so that Ashe Vaan and Balthier all can hit super well (Ashe with masamune + genji stuff, Vaan with Deathbringer [working on Durandhal, though its gonna suck] and a crystal shield [which im working on that other uber shield that comes from barheim passage, too] and then Balthier has fomahault and some really sucky armor but its only sucky because he uses a gun still so he doesnt really take damage), and then all of them have every single spell so they're all self-sufficient. I just thought that every character had an equal HP/MP rating so I dont bother to level anyone else other then my main team. And if I try to level them now it'll take like forever ;;

They each have their own hp/mp growth rates as well as STR/MGK/VIT/SPD.

Well, damn learn something new every day ; ; Ah well, maybe I'll finally stop being lazy then and catch up my backup team >.> Shouldn't be too hard since they have an equal license board pretty much to my main team. i just hope with the gear that i have, and them being level 10 with a bunch of augments they can kill stuff in Pharos >_>

My characters are 3x 98 and then 12-11-10 lol I'll be attempting to level them in Giruvegen while I continue hunting this NM. Just going to macro them to use Phoenix Downs on the ghost PH's and that should cover it. My backline is completely done the License board but main crew isn't because I switched them to double EXP item as soon as I could.

And it's called embroidered tippet. I'm not going to bother going for durandal yet, Yagyu Onyx and whale whisker look more fun, and have better multi attack rates. Of course if it turns out I need a demons shield on to survive one of those wyrms, I'll have to figure something else out.

If you're impatient/a cheap ass, you can always steal them from the Coeurl's in the Uplands just before Arcadia. Got 3 in about an hour using Thief's Cuffs.
