After serving a year on HC LS, I've decided that it is time to unite all the decent and aspiring players on Gilgamesh to coop and work together to build a unified front, and a strong linkshell.
This decision wasn't easy to make, as I have many enemies from older NA HNM shells. However, after registering on OrderLS forums and seeing tha apalling 30 page flame on Sirlancelot, it really gives an impression from other servers on how Gilgamesh must be a joke of all servers. Therefore, it is my intent to unite the divided fronts once and for all.
Whereby I must then make a public apology to all the LS members of other shells on Gilgamesh of the things I've said and my youthful misconceptions: Not everyone in a shell is an idiot, but its those idiots that make a shell look bad.
Which brings me to the next point. After reading on the OrderLS thread: "a treatise of linkshells", I've decided to make an attempt to gather all the respectable, honorable, and serious players to form a coalition and show the other servers just what we can accomplish united.
However, keep in mind that the linkshell I have intended is a skills linkshell. It demands competency, communication, and cooperation among members. Egoes, vanity, idiocity must take a back seat, and will be fetted out.
On a personal note, I require nothing tangible from the linkshell. I've no interest in upgrading relic weapons or getting abjurations from kings. However, being in Management, and dealing with Pharmaceuticals and marketing/statistics, I am interested in the growth and success of this shell, and character development of the players in the shell - if only as practice for my future endeavors in the corporate world.
Therefore, I urge those to spread the word, and seriously consider the possibility of working together in 1 shell. The linkshell will have yearly, and monthly objectives. In essence, it's a business. The linkshell is designed for players of all levels and backgrounds. The only distinction will be a player's willingless to set aside his/her ego and learn the workings of the game to achieve personal greatness.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission Statement: To unite the dedicated players on Gilgamesh server and consolidate them into a highly mobile linkshell which operates on skill, communication, and professionalism, under an uncorruptible and just commander.
Disclaimer:
This is a 'skills' linkshell. But it doesn't mean we won't accept people willing to learn and do their best. Arrogance and idiocity is not appreciated and will not be tolerated.
*Chain of Command*
Nucleus is structured into multiple 'Squads'. Each Squad is a self-contained number of players with multiple jobs.
- Minimum of 6 players make up a Squad.
- The maximum amount of players per squad is 18.
- The Squad structure offers options for players who may not work well with a certain Captain, or a Squad's members.
- As the linkshell increases in size, further Squads will be created and incorporated into Nucleus
- Squad systems can allow entire foreign linkshells to merge seamlessly with Nucleus, assuming a similar philosophy is shared.
Captains are fully responsible for players under his command.
- Failure of his/her members to perform satisfactorily during events, and display proper behavior, will reflect directly upon the Captain, and not on individual members - hopefully, reducing necessary drama.
- Captain's job is to make sure members under his/her command will perform their duties for events/sorties.
- recommended use Ventrilo (voice chat program)
- event attendance is Mandatory (assuming player is in game)
Lieutenants are the Captain's capable assistants, and the core members of each Squad.
- attendance at scheduled events are mandatory.
- Failure to attend without reasonable excuse results in demotion.
- At times, the Captain will delegate responsibility to lieutenants, and their success in completing such objectives will ensure their Squad's reputation and success.
- In emergency situations when the Captain is incapacitated or missing in action, Lieutenants will take charge of their Squad.
Enlisted are the general members of the shell.
- They are locked out from lotting on a few items, until promoted
- Enlisted are promoted to Lieutenants when they meet the Captain's skill evaluations, and acceptable attendance records.
Recruits are new members of Nucleus.
- They have a one-month trial membership, afterwhich they will be taken in by a Squad captain to become Enlisted, or if no Captains are willing to accept them, dropped from Nucleus (no hard feelings)
1st Squad: Executor the backbone of Nucleus, where command, planning, and maintenance are performed. All Captains and First/Second Lieutenants of subsequent Squads are required to have an 'Executor' pearl, as well as 'Nucleus' pearl, when important discussions arise.
2nd Squad: Altruistic
Captain: Grimacee
3rd Squad: Symmetry
Captain: Fenris
*Lotting Policies*
Nucleus employs a different approach when it comes to lotting on items. Instead of traditionally going by point attendance, or a queue system, lotting is on an experimental 'merit' system.
Lotting is all-inclusive. Be it sky, sea, hnm, limbus. Point system kept to a single system for simplicity.
To distinguish yourself from other players and be granted a higher lot priority,
Merits are obtained by performing duties that increase and benefit linkshell strength, versatility, and stability. (a monthly list will be set)
Once a player expends his merits to get priority lot, they go to zero, and have to accrue them again by performing actions that will benefit the linkshell and progresses linkshell goals.
-----------------------------------------------------
* please keep in mind again, I have no 'beef' with anyone on the server. if there are any past disagreements with me that you can't let go, i completely understand. however, my goal is to build a conglomerate, self-sustaining, and reputable endgame linkshell for Gilgamesh.
feel free to send me a /tell or reply to this thread if you're interested.
