Redoing AF question

If I want to get an AF piece back that I upgraded through limbus. How do I go about getting that AF back?

Piece of cake. First thing you need to do is go to the black-clad NPC in the magic shop in Lower Jeuno, and he'll talk with you about erasing your memory of artifact quests. Choose the one you want to erase, and you've effectively cleared your quest log entirely of that set's quests. It's as if you've never done them (but you still have the items). So you go to your AF1 quest NPC, talk to them, and they'll give you the quest. You can go all the way to the end of the quest, but you can't complete it because you won't be able to receive the weapon, if you still have your AF1. Drop that, complete the quest, and move on.

From there, it depends on the piece you're after:

If you want to replace your AF2: From where we left off, just redo your AF2 quest and be done.

If you want to replace your gloves: Open your AF2, and then open the gloves quest, pop coffer, fight dark spark, etc. No need to finish AF2.

If you want something from a coffer: Open your AF2. It is NOT necessary to open the gloves quest, and you should avoid doing it accidentally as doing so will lock you out of doing gloves for another job until you finish it. All you have to do is flag your AF2, then pop the coffer, then you're done.

If you want to replace your AF3: You need to finish your AF2, but that's all. So drop your AF2, do the quest, and then do your AF3 again.

Piece o' cake. Some people will also put all their armor in NPC storage first, erase their memory, then just request the piece they want to trade in specifically so that they don't have to have 4/5 pieces in their inv but w/e works.

kk thanks we figured it out after thinking about it. then we got stomped by a 24 hour wait on AF2 pants for Drg so we went and did the BCNM 60 for kraken club without them. Mnk Drg/mage x2 was first set up then Sam/rng Drg/mage x2 was second go. Out of 4 runs we had one death on this run. record fight was 4:28 with second set up. Was alot of fun...even if the drop rate fails
