    Enfeebling question

I know that I should know the answer to this, but as a whm I've honestly never enfeebled much, and I'm getting differing answers from my linkshell.

I'm making an all-around enfeebling macro for my whm just in the off chance that I need to enfeeble something (am almost always with a rdm), and I didn't know whether I should put in Nashira Turban for the +5 Magic Accuracy or Yigit Turban for the +4 MND.

My enfeebling skill with gear on is 252, and I also don't plan on buying any extra gear for this, mainly because I sit at 55/60 and just don't have the room

So, what do you BG RDMs say? Nashira Turban or Yigit Turban?

    For Slow and Paralyze, Yigit.
For anything else (aside the obvious Dia, etc.), Nashira.

Depends what you're fighting. I'd say even as a WHM you can afford to stack MND in the Mire, but in a place like Thickets you'll probably need the extra MACC. In truth though, Para is more dependent on a MND build than Slow, so you could probably just use full MACC on Slow.

as a whm, even with a rdm with me , i like to enfeeble things, cause it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside when it does land.. however i've noticed i do get resisted alot, which mainly has to do with our low skill

enfeebling skill usually sits like this:
    225+10(AF1)+15(AF2)+7(enfeebling torque)+5(nashira legs)+corresponding HQ staff = 262 +bonus + 2 magic acc
i believe rdm unmeritted is like 276 base enfeebling? still a way ahead of us

i would still go with the +5magic accuracy over 4 mnd however cause even with that i still have problem landing paralyze/slow/silence on some things (slow seems to be the easiest to land)

as far as i know mnd mostly helps to increase the strength of the enfeeble and its undetermined if it actually helps accuracy

edit: when i say some things, i usually mean vt+ mobs

Not much new information here but... In a nutshell this is how I prioritize gear for my debuffs.

There are 2 basic categories for debuffs:
    1) those with a constant effect reguardless of stats
    2) those that are modified by INT or MND

For category 1 debuffs such as sleep, poison, dispel, silence and so on you would want to go for a strictly skill and/or macc build to maximize accuracy (beyond capped macc haste and/or fastcast is great to lower cooldowns).

For category 2 debuffs such as slow, paralyze, blind and so on you want to aim for minimum skill and/or macc (just enough to stick it pretty consistently) and then max possible MND or INT to maximize potentcy.

I'm not going to get into huge detail on the specifics my gear builds because I'm sure most could care less.

    This is the correct answer.

For Paralyze and Slow use only as much skill/lolmagic accuracy as you need, then stack MND on top of it. If you are being consistently resisted, sacrifice some MND for lolmagic accuracy and try again. There is no catch-all answer, it is all situational.

I call magic accuracy lol because it is in such small quantities that it really sucks. An item with 10-15 magical accuracy would kick ass.

Poison is a fixed amount of damage? All this time I've been stacking INT for potency.

+5 macc in the right slot is great. Problem for RDMs is the only slots we can "easily" get +5 Macc is the head, which is easily trumped by many items (crimson/blood facemask, duelist's chapeau, and many-including myself- vote elite beret even above it), and the body (again, +5 macc on the Chausble, or +15 skill from Warlock's Tabard? end of discussion).

However, +5 macc in a slot where you can't get skill is great. As a person who doesn't have their master caster's bracelets, the new Morrigan's Cuffs were quite inticing with their +5 Macc on the hands, a slot that you cannot get skill on w/o the master casters. Not to mention MCs don't work in ToAU zones, or if you don't meet the conquest requirements based on nation control.

Long story short....with your 252 skill and no intention of adding more gear, you'll probably NEED to stick with the nashira and its Macc. In addition, I do hope you're carrying around the appropriate staves for the spells. I know probably 75% of WHMs will have a set, but without them, 252 skill and +5 macc probably isn't going to reliably land spells against a VT mob. Ice for para/bind, Wind for silence/gravity, earth for slow, dark for blind.

    Winnar.

WHM can get a boatload of MND/INT in various slots, but without as much +skill/MAcc as you can get plus HQ staves, you won't land stuff reliably on anything much tougher than a puk. Even with a decent Skill/Macc set (mostly just lacking Nashira pants) and some +Enfeeb merits, resistant mobs like Mamool are quite hard - especially on stuff like Silence/Sleep. A decent RDM can do this just fine with a mostly +MND/INT set and not weigh on +Skill/MAcc as heavily, but WHMs have to overcome the gimp 225 base skill first.

Tho if you decide to risk a few resists, you can get some hot Para proc rates with a +MND setup .. but that's about the only spell it's worthwhile on.

from the view of a RDM I'd say yes, but a WHM definitely not, they would wanna max out skill or macc just to be able to land enfeebles on most exp mobs using the correct elemental stave as well.

This might be the case if Slow or Paralyze were particularly hard spells to land. They're not really, especially in today's merit mindset of chaining T-VT mobs.

If you're fighting an HNM, you'd probably have an RDM anyway for landing debuffs.

Elite Beret is a good/cheap alternative.

Spoken like a true non-WHM. Unless you're in one of those gimp puk-only parties, you're gonna need all the skill you can get to land enfeebles.

lol yea 225 enfeebling base vs. 276 enfeebling base... and you probably got some enfeebling merits as well. WHM doesn't have access to that much non-buyable enfeebling + gear and the gear that they do is kinda hard to get. AF2 hands, etc. Nashira/Elite Beret+AF2 hands+AF1+1 body is not a bad build for WHM enfeebling, would put you at 250ish. Slap on Enfeebling Torque for another 7 and would probably be able to land most enfeebs with ease, I'm not WHM, but BLM cap 230 enfeebling is only slightly better than WHM, except BLM has much much more gear available to compensate with. I'm hitting 274 without Master Caster's Bracelets active and also do not have enfeebling earring. This is enough to sleep pretty much everything consistently, but I still do have trouble landing paralyze on Aura Statues in sky, while RDM land it with ease.

The sad part is that your paralyze will be unresisted a whole lot less than a RDM's nukes on those Aura Statues...
