I asked awhile ago, I wanted "Third Eye" sound to be my sound when someone sent me a text.
u read my mind sir
How do you turn down that sound when u use the character select screen. Passing through mules is so fucking loud
I'd really like to know this too, although I'd prefer to just straight up remove it.Originally Posted by Tekki
same here... especially if you are using ventrilo and you have the in game sound down to 10% and then you just blow your speakers while logging off/on...Originally Posted by Tythera
it is really annoying.
I'm not sure if this removes all game sound since I don't care about game sound, but in the FFXI settings, you can turn sound off and that removes that annoying character switching screen music.
If you actually like listening to the music in the game though, I'm not sure.![]()
Yeah Kross me and a buddy of mine sometimes play with just google chat. And google chat is SOOOO quiet and you can't turn it down so we turn the game volume down.
Then when he's in PT I can hear other peoples <call1>, it's soooo louuuddddd.
Yeah, this is exactly why I wanted to remove it, partially because it's really loud more than it completely muffles ventrilo, I have to really struggle to hear people for that bit.Originally Posted by Kross
It should be in C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\sound4\win\music\data, and it's called music179.bgw. Just rename/delete that, and hurrah, no annoying music when switching chars.
can someone confirm preaseOriginally Posted by CGB
Not 100% on which file it is (I used an old sond converter that labeled each sound file w/ what song/what it was) to figure out what music was which. It didnt work for TAU when they released it, so I renamed them one by one till the intro music stopped. Any luck w/ the choco Kwehh, and what to replace to make your tells make that sound?Originally Posted by Tekki
I just tried it, it does indeed work, thanks.Originally Posted by Tekki
