Ok I'm wondering what stacks with what.

I know Frightful Roar and Acid Bolts are the same, but that's about it. Does Eviseration stack with those or is it in the same group?

What about Angon and Tomahawk? Do those stack with each other? How about the above debuffs? And what does the drg 2hr jump defence down fall under?

I'm just wondering whats the max def down you can get w/o having them go to waste because they override each other.

Assuming they have the same rules as Magic Defense. Cap of defense down should be 128/256. (50% defense down effect)

Angon is 20% Def reduction, doesn't stack with Spirit Surge Jump because it's essentially the same effect.

Tomahawk just reduces/eliminate the special defense of the mob, such as elemental's physical resistance, ghost's damage resistance, bone's piercing resistance, greater bird's slashing/blunt resistance, etc.

Dunno if tomahawk reduces the penalty or normalizes it, but from what I've seen from fighting DC elemental links on merit, it just reduces the overall resistance and not completely eliminate it, unless those elementals have retardedly high defense.

Ok knowing that angon and drg 2hr are the same is what I wanted to know. So in essense you can get:

Dia2/3
Basic Def down (acid/roar)
Drg Def down (angon/surge jump)


Where does Enervation fit in? I can assume shell crusher would be the same as the basic def down.

Has anyone done testing of this to find out for sure? :X

I dont think that Acid Bolt and Angon stack anymore, they did right after it was added but there was an update, Angon is 100% hit and always works where Acid Bolts can miss and not proc so it's useless outside of exp mobs where Angon isn't.

I would imagine DRG 2hr jump would be the strongest one. I've always seen my damage jump from ~40ish on strong stuff to ~60ish, about that ratio each time.

I could be wrong though, never tested against Angon.

question though is does it overwrite angon? We have the token DRG in our LS...

I think Shell Crusher is the highest -def down but I don't know how long its duration is. Its TP based, right? Might not outlast a good angon.

Chances are high it falls into the same slot. No reason why it would be different. Go go ballista testing.

the eva down effect from shield break at 100% for example lasts about 5mins, armor break (which is also -25% def) should be similar, i am not certain if the effect always procs though, most mobs die before seeing the 'wears off' message, so i can't offer any exact timing.

Also do all of these dispel defense bonuses like cocoon? Im pretty sure frightful roar over writes it but do the others do it? And is it for all defense bonuses

i don't think it will overwrite defender because that has a different slot, it should overwrite any def+ which have the little sword and red arrow (is that the icon?).

Defender overwrites most def-down effects--I used to static with a pld who would use the ability to cancel the def down from sonic wave.

it's been a while since i played PLD, do you remember what your stp member noted about sonic wave going on over defender or not? (though such a situation is rare).

Can't recall if sonic wave affected him or not if defender was on; he usually cancelled it because he was geared to DD-tank.
