Max MP possible

Bleh, silly thread I know, but I'm curious. What's the maximum MP possible?

I made that theoretical build..not sure if it's the max though, I'm not really a magey person. Food can add an extra 90 MP I think.

I think +% Mp could take you further. Put on all of Marduk, I think that's probably better with the high base mp + food.

Some of the level 70 RSE belts would take you a bit higher as well, as I didn't see if there was a race involved. I may have totally missed it though.

I've always hated that they have MP+, then all the resists, then converts HP to MP on that item. Put similar stats together!






They should fix that when they add the space. But won't.

On a taru summoner/white mage, I came up with 1653 MP with the following setup (excludes items that are only active in certain situations like Rep. Gold medal)

Bahamut's Staff (30 MP)
Hedgehog Bomb (+30 MP)
Zenith Gear +1 (275 MP Convert)
Beak Necklace +1 (+22 MP)
Loq. Earring (+30 MP)
Astral Earring (25 MP Convert)
Serket Ring (50 MP convert)
Tamas Ring (30 MP)
Hierarch Belt (48 MP)
Blue Cape +1 (20 MP + 20 MP convert)
Food: Squirrel's Delight (95 MP)

edit: Using Marduk's at maximum gives 1584

Double that for the wizard's drink item in Beseiged.

There was an item with MP+100 in besieged, but I can't fucking find it for soem reason.

There is one fatal flaw in your plan...

Since Movalpolos is always under beastmen control, no one can get Movalpolos Water, meaning no Baking Soda, therefore no Squirrel's Delight.

Well, throw that mana boost on top of all of the above said gear and your taru SMN/BLM in Beseiged will have nearly 4000 MP, which likely is the most possible in this game.

I'm not sure but it seems like the important question here is that. The problem with +MP% is that its not as easy to get base MP as high as base HP. As a drk my hp is super high and the +3% on ares body would be super awesome. But on a whm or smn, the mp pool seems too low to make the +3% MP to be more then dalm. But then again it depends on when its calculated.

Marduk's Head has +4% MP boost. This would be more than Zenith +1 @1375 MP, but I'm not sure when the calculation takes place.

Marduk's Feet and Body have +3%, which would exceed Zenith +1 @ 1833 MP.

Even if it is calculated after some or all of your gear, I highly doubt it would count convert HP > MP gear towards the MP used in the %, just based on the way other things work.
