New music to drop

Here's a couple new tunes I actually discovered bullshitting around in the metal catagory of onDemand (east coast/comcast).

Very very incredible - specifically how they've reinvented their sound. Im loving the new vox on this track. On a sad note, I went out to buy the album to spin at the bar on Metal Fridays, and the album is somewhat lacking the energy and sound that this track offered. Oh well, cant all be perfect tracks I guess.

As well as Chimaira's new track. Amazing percussion and rythem guitars in the chorus. Well worth a listen, not to mention to occasional gorgeous girl thrown in the vid.

And finally, Bleeding Through's new track. Honestly, I don't know what to make of this. I enjoyed BT's original, screaming melody. This new....god forgive me, almost Emo bullshit is enough to make me stop listening altogether. The only reason to watch is for the most beautiful woman on the face of the planet. My heart is hers.

[Quisten]

The Absence's new CD, Riders of the Plague, comes out soon-ish, this summer. Great Gothenburg melodic death from America, like older In Flames, and Dark Tranquility. Love them, worth checking out.

You hit it on the head with older In Flames. I miss the sound of that China boy cymbol the drummer used as a ride over top of that fucking beautiful mix of rythem guitars and haunting, distant vocals.

In Flames hasn't released a decent song since the Whoracle Album.

Jester Race was by far their best album.

But, regardless, Kittie has done a fine job replacing what was now obviously two members that didn't define the sound they wanted to.


Also, I found it kind of cool that one of the tracks on the album was named after one of the most infamous B-Grade horror flicks next to Evil Dead, Flowers of Flesh and Blood (the infamous japanese fake snuff flick that Charlie Sheen thought was real).

The only reason Bleeding Through is worth anything is because of the hot keyboardist.

Edit: And that new song is horrible, what the hell. He should stick to screaming or just end his life so the keyboardist can be the star.
