Don't forget that they still have Maroney who was outstanding last year. They got Wes Welker this offseason too, and still have Caldwell and Gaffney who did very well last year even though one may not obviously play as much now with Stallworth and Moss on opposite sides, and of course Tom Brady makes everyone around him great anyway, so yeah. >.> Dynasty+1, do you need it? What's scary is that's just their offense.
Their defense is even better. With Bruschi, Vrabel, and Seau getting on in years, they bring in Adalius Thomas who did great with the Ravens, even though he was already surrounded by talent as it is, but I still think he'll do decent with the Pats. Their LB core is going to be scary.
So yeah, you have a right to be scared. Jets might be okay this year though, and your Broncos have Jay Cutler, so they should be alright without Plummer there.
Randy Moss is a cancer. Let's hope New England is more successful in controlling his stupidity than the other teams were.
Well, he admitted to not trying all the time because basically.. the Raiders were lousy. (I'd say scoring 178 points ALL YEAR is pretty damn lousy offensively.) Their defense wasn't half bad though. Now, if they can sure up the offense, they might get 6 wins this year. Moss just wants to win a championship and with New England, he can.
I think the Broncs should be ok. With Champ and Bly, Moss and Stallworth will have trouble getting passes. Both teams had awesome offseasons and improved their teams dramatically. Should be an interesting season, and an orgasmic AFC playoffs.
Not looking forward to every player on Madden online playing with the Patriots....
Anyone else as clueless as I am as to why the Eagles let Donte Stallworth go?
Thats something even I as a Steelers fan doesn't understand.Originally Posted by Tyr

There was a guy defending him saying "People use that statement 'I play when I want to play' against him." A quick Dale Arnold replied "You mean like when he's in an NFC championship game after a 15-1 season and decides he doesn't want to play?" The rest of the spot was the hosts making fun of the caller and eventually convincing him to hang up before they hang up on him. Now Randy Moss is on the Pats... EEI should be plenty entertaining tomorrow at work.
My hate for Boston sports grows..
despite his attitude problems in the past, i can't help but imagine a championship level team forcing him to shape up.
well, maybe more that someone like NE's coach (who is a notorious hard-ass) wouldn't dare let moss take one step over him.
I'd love to see Moss lose his "I play when I wanna play" attitude and jsut get back to doing what he did his first couple of years in the league.
If he can't shed that then good luck Patriots. You're going to need it.
I'm surprised that it isnt common knowledge already that the Eagles are the most jewish team in the NFL. They always let their best players go once they have good years and resign them when theyre old and not worth anything.Originally Posted by Saphirea
Hell, Mcnabb had to publically beg for Westbrook to be resigned.
That, plus Stallworth constantly misses tons of games because of his hamstrings. When he's healthy he's good, but he's injured half the time.Originally Posted by Deejay
Oh, and Randy Moss is definitely cancer to a team. If he and Owens would combine on one team, I have no doubt that the city that hosts whatever team they would be on would be hit by a meteor.
I live in minneapolis, and I would give anyone on our current team to reverse the Moss trade.Originally Posted by Fryte

The Patriots have been a force to be reckoned with in the past 6 years. Now they are just more of a force to be reckoned with.
Same ;( I died a little inside when the Vikings traded Moss. And then, we made it worse by trading away Culpepper.Originally Posted by XxSlusherxx

I think Adalius Thomas is gonna be a huge bust on the Patriots. I think he was really overrated on the Ravens and it will show this year. The Redskins prove year after year that signing all the high profile free agents does not mean you will be a good team. That said, the Patriots are much better than the Redskins but I dont think they will make the Superbowl much less win it.
And the Eagles let Stallworth go because his agent is an idiot. He was going to hear the Patriots offer then give the Eagles 24 hours to match. But for some reason they signed the Pats contract when it was given to them without knowing that the eagles were offering more money and years. I don't mind about losing him tho, they signed a better receiver that can actually stay on the field for more than 3 games in a row.
Big difference between the Redskins and Patriots: the Patriots, as much as I despise them (in admiration), know how to coach talent. It seems as though any player that goes on that roster just improves. The sole person I think that's an exception, and this is only because he played exceptionally well when he was in Chicago aside Urlacher, is Roosevelt Colvin. Otherwise, the Patriots are disciplined, and have time and again sent the message out (credit here mainly goes to Bellicheck) that all they care about is winning.Originally Posted by Orph
And as an Eagles fan, I was really hoping to see McNabb-Westbrook-Stallworth develop together. They seemed to have a lot of chemistry. I do hope, however, that we see more Hank Baskett this year, gotta love that kid.
How about SF getting Darrell Jackson?
Didn't the lose antonio bryant? He was better anyway.
I want to see what happens with the Browns and Ravens this year, who both got two new running backs that could help carry their team.
Wut? no...Originally Posted by Tyr
