For every 100+ topics/sigs about how stupid and useless a GM can be, I might as well report one good one (and a LGM).

I'm still shocked how I was able to snag a moogle prize given all the crazy high quality entries for this year's fanart contest. There's some really awesome ones that entered but didn't make it laying around in Deviant art. Anyway, it seemed the prize for this year was apparently nothing. A big fat goose egg. I think a few friends giggled a bit, but this is SE after all. I originally figured maybe it was only reserved for the top winners or JPs, but it wasn't until I stumbled upon this link:

It seems that you didn't have to be a JP for the rod. So, I quickly sent a GM call. I'll let the low quality, grainy PS2 pics tell the rest.

Just like Otak, I was sent off to Mordion Gaol (jail) and was greeted by a regular GM, Najakan. He apologized that my rod might have gotten lost somehow (PS2 Limitations, maybe?) so he called on a LGM to clear things up. Caedmon popped up and the two sorta posed for a bit. Seemed kinda cool that they would. Surely enough after a few minutes, there it was in my inventory, a shiney new Hello Kitty Pink Nomad Moogle Rod!

I'm just glad SE didn't make me jump through hoops like you would think they would (policy this, policy that).

Those were merely beta test GMs for SEs next MMO, surely our faithful GMs wouldnt been so intelligent and straight to the point. They would have told you call the information center or apologized that your item was lost in the logs forever.

Anyways, great that 2 GMs in the least know how to do their jobs.

Congrats on your Nomad Moogle rod :O, they look nice... I saw a PC with one a while back and sometimes when he hit the mob it made a Kupo sound, or that could have been just a Moogle Rod, Not sure, Either way they are fun.

Some of the EU GMs are a bit more flexible, imo. Even if the English may be off at times.

Najakan is awesome, he's always been really nice when I've gotten him.

I can't remember her name, but I had an extremely nice and supportive GM come help on one epic fail KA (raged, some LS came and pulled it over the wall, ran off with it, never to be seen again). She didn't use one of those stupid macros once, was very polite and funny where she could be, just the right amount of mixing her personal touch into her duties. Even if not much got accomplished by the call itself, she was able to assuage the situation much better than any other GM I've talked with. Instead of vanishing for several minutes while communicating with the other GMs or whoever they normally vanish to check logs with, she continued to hold a conversation reflecting her own LS'es attempted camps on certain mobs and stuff, as well as just random chatter about other games and the like, really helping to identify with a player more than the stereotypical "lol GMs don't play this game" ever does. I'll dig through screenshots later, I might be able to find her name. If I could, I would request her help every time a problem comes up. I've never had a more satisfying GM call, the others should take lessons.

GM Luminous... the moronic douche bag who threatened to jail a bunch of people I know for "holding" Despot while damaging it Bind+DoT sytle, while do nothing about actual holding of other NMs for 10 hours that have high Auto-Regen and weren't going to die from Bio 2 (or Poison regardless of how many resisted casts of it there were).

Either GM Luminous is a bot that SE activates when its GMs are all off for the day, and wants to appear to have someone responding to GM calls, or SE had some sort of affirmative action policy and hired a bunch of "special" people.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong here, but I don't believe it's "a" lgm, pretty sure Caedmon is *the* Lgm.

Anyhow, I remember way back in beta there was a GM Caedmon, so it would make sense if that were the lead guy with him having been around so long.
