THFs and Coffers

I recently started up THF, really fun job and now I'm hunting my coffers.

Question I was going to ask is:
If you pick a coffer, and get a trap or mimic, does the coffer respawn right away? Or is it a 5, 15, 30 min wait for the repop of the coffer? Thanks in advance!

Trap = normal re pop (can not pick while weakened. some weakness can last for an hour +)
Mimic = re pops in about 30 seconds

Edit: if you fail a high lvl coffer go die. i eventually killed myself in sky to get rid of it after waiting about a hour.

Haven't been hit by a trap in ages, but I seem to remember nothing happening to it. It just stayed there while I waited for the weakness to wear off so I could try again.

if you get weakened from a trap, just switch to ninja and blow up.

That's how I started leveling DRK. I was WHM main and tried to suicide on DRK and went 'Wow, other jobs can actually kill things fast!' and never went back to WHM.

I found a discrepancy with what you have said. Picking a trapped coffer, I became weakened and another THF picked the coffer 10 mins after. Reason I know is because while waiting for weakness, I talked to someone doing Genkai3 and asked me to open the brass door. While chatting with this person, they led me to find out another THF, which I talked to, had actually picked and got a safeguard ring. Are you positive about this information? Seems more facts need to be found about this subject.
