I currently play on 360
I was thinking about getting FFXI for PC as well, now heres my question if i buy the Starter Pack disk and install it on my PC and log in on my account will the expansions need to be installed or the registration codes rebought?

If all expansion codes are registered to your account via 360, you can simply download a torrent of the PC installs and use your existing account, nothing to buy.

If you buy the starter pack it doesn't have WoG on it. But yes, if you are already registered you can log into FFXI onto any device with it properly installed.

Here's a long winded version just to clarify things for you:

When playing on multiple platforms, you only need ONE set of codes/ one account etc. The PlayOnline log in window will be the same across all platforms. You punch in you're content ID ABCD1234 and password just like you always do. To answer your question:
-Yes, you can buy the $1.99 starter pack to install and go. No additional content IDs/payments are required.

However,

The catch is that the expansion packs need to be INSTALLED on the platform you are using. Otherwise you will get an error upon log in stating that some areas will be unaccessible (eg you log out in whitegate and dont have Aht Urghan installed on PC therefor you wont be able to log in until you enter a basic non-expansion area). The good news is you can obtain the expansions by any means possible. You can torrent them, borrow them from a rl friend, etc etc. The cd keys from the expansions will be irrelevant since you're using your original account anyways. If you're not keen on torrents and don't have any friends then you'll just have to eat the cash and buy the expansions anyway.
-You need to install the expansions, but don't need to have the cd keys to go along with them.
