Coming to Terms...

I run an einherjar linkshell every thursday, now for the past couple months each week, ive been bothered by people not showing up on time, to people not coming back the next week because we had a wipe the last. Im perfectly aware that the wiping decrease shell morale and people will give up eventually. Now, my shell Ill proudly say that we go once a week togther, so its pretty tough to gain some LS commodity all around, But this is due to my schedule as week, and I cant seem to fit it in on another day.

That wasnt my point, I got a little carried away, but After last week's drama Ive found 14ppl that are willing to ride or die with me each week, they all pay 10k, As I and other leaders pay the rest. We went in, and fought worms of all things.. and with good effort we went in and defeated 6 worms, while kiting Mega Boss, because it seemed the best strat, we could come up with at the time.

I couldnt say that I was disappointed we went in and for 25mins, gave it our all and when we wiped we could just laugh about it and say, "See ya Next week" A few friends spoke to me after I told them what happened and they said, keep those people because its rare you find people who play for the love of the game.

On my website I have an app and at the bottom is to questions, and I call these the cube questions. 1 person said it was arrogant to ask such a phychological question.

The Cube:

Picture a landscape ok, and then picture a cube, what color is this cube and what is it doing? Where is it in the landscape?

Now Picture some flowers, what kind of flowers are they? Do you take care of them? How do you picture these flowers on the landscape?

The 1st question represent personality traits and creativity?

The 2nd question represents friendship on the lvl of how you deal with them?

with these 2 questions, i can personally decode a person's personality traits, is this a good or bad thing.

Go more than once a week, recruit 10 more solid players, and stop beating off to your rediculous excuse for insight into other's psychi' through half ass textbook questions. No intelligent self respecting person would answer those questions.

How many people total do you have going per run anyway? Is it safe to assume that the one you mentioned with the worms and boss was a T1?

Those are horrible psych questions and really show you nothing about an FFXI player and their ability to beat a simple T1 Einherjar chamber. How is me telling you that I see blue cube sitting in the sand on a beach going to help you in the slightest. Recruit better and figure out how to beat chambers. Like don't aggro the boss for starters and kill all the worms first.

btw, the flowers question is utterly stupid and shows nothing. It shows more about how much you care about flowers then ppl. I don't give a shit about flowers and I wouldn't own any so picturing some is worthless, that doesn't have anything to do with how I treat my friends. Get better psych questions but no it's not arrogant, just pointless.

Actually when we get worms we pull the boss first and kill it...saves a lot of headache (unless there's other mobs, in which case we do those mobs => boss => worms). Is there some reason not to do it this way that I'm missing?

Your questions are stupid, this entire post sounds like a whinefest, and if you didn't wipe so much when you had your chances you'd have a better following.

P.S. if it took you 25 minutes to kill 6 of those weak worms then you've got some very deep issues that need addressing before your next run

It depends on the boss tbh. Pudding has draw-in, so you need to clear enough worms to make a spot to kill it, since it is hardest to not aggro with /ja aggro. We've done plenty of things, clear all worms with some bosses, clear some to make a spot to kill boss w/ minimal worm aggro or just pull boss out and away and kill it.

If they can't even kill 6 worms though, it doesn't matter.

Well, for good players I think you guys really missed the point of my thread. I had no idea that I was whining when I posted this I actually felt very proud of my group. Pulling the boss first didnt even come to mind actually, but you had a good point.

I respect all the opinions so far, this post was actually for praise for my linkshell on doing w/e we could do to win.

As so far as my psych questions, ive actually been very accurate about it. Ive read much about Ein already, but its tough to build a consistent strat when you dont know if everyone is gonna show up next week. Drex, your post did make some sense.. but please be respectful when addressing me

Find a way to go twice a week. If you personally can't show up, try using a co-leader system so that another person can lead the event on a different day for more ampoules (I imagine you'd want to attend the Odin runs). Expect to lose attendees if you fail, especially if they are brand new recruits. The only way you can convince them to stay is through success and once you hit a winning streak they'll be less likely to leave if you screw up in the future.

i suggest focus more on strategies (after gotten enough new blood) for your LS then focus on the questionnaires to the LS ;o

I think even if I'd stumbled across your website, thought "Hm, maybe they'd let me do Einherjar with them?" without having any clue who you were or seen this thread, and then seen the questions, I'd still think they were being f'in stupid, you were indeed being arrogant, and immediately leave the site. If a person values friendship, or is creative, means DICK in a shell specifically for Einherjar.
