Verizon Fios Connection: Help!

Yesterday I just got Verizon Fios for cable, internet, etc. My main computer and laptop work fine, yet my PS2 will not connect to POL at all. I've searched Google and found others with the same problem, but none of them were answered.
I've tried with my wireless and hardwire now, only being able to connect to internet with the hardwire but still getting stuck at Connecting To Play Online. My computer sees the connection to the PS2, but it won't go through. If anyone could help with this issue, it'd be appreciated. ^^;

I know Verizon uses their own custom firmware on the routers they issue for FiOS. You're going to want to go into it and either port forward FFXI's ports (there are a lot of them) to your PS2 or put the PS2 on the DMZ. Another thing you can try is to lower the router's firewall settings, I think it's at medium by default.

We opened the port to my PS2 already, but I don't think we've done the same for the POL ones. My friend just suggested that too
