GTA IV Question

Was checking out the website they put up for the game (http://www.rockstargames.com/IV/) and on the bottem area they had a multiplayer (coming soon) tag. I don't remember hearing anything about GTA IV being a multiplayer game and was wondering if anyone who is more up on Console news knows anything about this.

P.S. It is a pretty cool site to check out, esp. if you are a fan of the series.

San Andreas had multiplayer too iirc. Co-op missions yeah?

San Andreas had multiplayer too iirc. Co-op missions yeah?

Yeah those awful multiplayer rampage things, failed horribly imo.

you could play pool with your parnter too, which is kinda cool considering is within a game.

It is however cool the first 10 minutes; or whenever you find out you suck at pool, and go postal on your gaming partner

Hmm, yeah. I forgot about San Andreas lol Multiplayer. Here I was hoping this version would bring about some sort of better multiplayer. The potential this has could be pretty awesome, but until I hear more I'm not too enthused.

I read an interview lately that said it was not going to be co-op multiplayer since it didn't 'fit the story' at all. So, basically, it'll probably be along the lines of San Andreas or head-to-head type of gameplay (which would be pretty cool, depending on how they do it). But, so far, they're staying quiet about it, last I heard.
