Anyway, fighting an NM today when RMTs decide to zone aggro on us. A snap decision was made for Tsuko, the BLM, to pull them away from us and die (Which was unnecessary, but this is not the point). RMTs come back, repeat, and we die. I called the GM the second I saw the RMT arriving with a train, again when another RMT repeated, and again after the wipe. RMTs wipe, we get Tsuko back in the party, and have an easy fight. Right as the mob is dying, GM Xandamere finally gets back to me and takes down the details. No problem. Tsuko logs for a while, comes back, and is held up in POL viewer for a GM chat. After an hour of waiting, the GM comes on and immediately kicks him out of POL.

He logs back in, gets to talk this time, and the GM tells him very clearly that he was suspended for MPKing my party. I read about this, see how the mistake was made, and make another GM call to get him out of trouble. Krilidex responds, I lay out the situation for him, and receive a stock "Game Masters are unable to disclose any information on the actions taken upon another account. Are there any other concerns I may be able to address?" I ask who I can talk with to correct the misunderstanding the earlier GM made, and get "Information on this players account will not be released to you since it is not your account." I remind him that my account is the one that made the GM call upon which action was taken. "This is something the suspended player must try to clear up." If the GM doesn't just kick him immediately out of chat again, I guess.

Another LSmate who was present at the incident calls, gets GM Cayenne, who at least doesn't utterly blow him off, but listened, got the idea that he was trying to report the RMTs for MPK, took those details, and told him "I am afraid there is nothing that can be done at this time" with regard to Tsuko's suspension, and that after it's over he can discuss the issue with a supervisor.

So yeah, typical SE customer service. Anyone have any ideas on who to turn to next? It's pretty fucking ridiculous that Tsuko is going to have to serve a 3 day suspension for MPKing his own LS, after we've called to try to clarify the situation.

Kridelex is a fucking moron. LS called GM on us while we kited KV, GM spoke with a kiter and I spoke to GM instead and he told me to fuck off basically, even though I said I was representing the group there. Kridelex told me to call my own GM, so I did, on him. Got a SGM and he told me he would look into the matter and see if Kridelex was acting appropiately.

No personal experience with this, but people have in the past pointed that when you have a dispute with a GM, you can request their supervisor / SGM to address the problem.

this hasn't happened to me either, and i hope to god it never does because it'll probably be the end of my playing FFXI.

the complete and utter lack of customer service that Square-Enix shows to its paying customers is astonishing.

and keep in mind, we're not just people who bought one product from a company, and have a problem with it. we CONTINUE to pay, month after month, for the SAME product! all they have to do is keep us moderately happy, and they can roll in our money for years.

yet, they continue to drop the ball in cases like these. YOU called a GM, and a member of YOUR party got suspended for MPKing... you?

and on top of that, they then refuse to discuss the matter with you. even though you're the one who made the call in the first place?

if this were literally ANY other product than one which is very addictive, they'd have about 10 customers left if that.

i've heard a lot of stories like this lately, and coupled with the account hacking issue with people STILL not getting their accounts back...

i hope and pray every time that i play that i never get involved in a situation like this, because as a matter of principle i refuse to give my hard-earned money to a company that refuses to address issues i have with their service. i'm not always right and i know that, but if a company refuses even to discuss the issue with me to explain why i'm mistaken?

that company is going to have their access to my bank account revoked pronto.

and the more i hear things like this happening, the more i realize that it's probably just a matter of time.

This is why I try to never, ever call a GM for anything if at all possible. The only reason to ever call a GM is if you are stuck, beyond that you will only be greeted with disappointment and frustration.

It's worse than I thought. I assumed the GM had just gone on a spree banning everyone who was pulling the mobs. Nope, just ran across both of the RMTs who did it, and a third GM who refused to discuss any of this with me.
