saw it in theaters, loved it. had to watch it again a couple weeks ago on dvd. i thought the cast was perfect and the songs were pretty well done. the only thing that grossed me out a little is the meat pies.

it was weak in some places but I think she played the character incredibly well

I saw this movie ages ago when it came out in the cinema's and absolutely loved it. Wanting to hear the original I downloaded it a while afterwards and WOW. What a difference. I thought the singing was good in the movie, but compared to the original... well, I don't often like to do that, but I can't really watch the movie now because I'm so attached to the broadway version >.> But it IS a good movie, and I do like it.

I absolutely loved it. Alan Rickman plays those asshole roles SO well. And the scene towards the end when Todd finally gets that fucker... that was the most brutal kill scene I have ever seen. I honestly can say I have never seen a person *stabbed* with a straight razor in a movie before. That bit was just awesomely different.

Maybe you can get a recording on DVD? They have a Sweeney Todd broadway revival in 2005, so you might be able to find a DVD of that (it's also really really fucking good).

Thank you Kytele. Its really good though it feels different since I saw the movie version first I've been expecting different things in different places though its not that much different.
