    Helix Endgame

    So I did JoFaith other last night and played around with some gear having read the formula and some of the tests done for Helix's. Most of them averaged around 60 or so with a high of 90ish at one point (Anemo / Cryo). So I'm wondering two things here, first off, is that around normal? I've not seen any information at all about helixs endgame since the update to Scholar so I'm not sure what numbers I should be shooting for.(Possible I've missed it I guess but all searches have come up dry T.T)
    Second question, has anyone came up with a set they have found to be effective endgame wise? (Gods, Sea, HNM, Wyrms)

    I'm also going to be testing myself w/ multiple setups endgame, Skill, pure INT, INT/MaB, Skill /MaB I'll post anything I find from there if anyone is interested.

    Helices are still mediocre (to me) after update - they land for 60-120 on most things (although sometimes I get 0-30 on pissy mobs), it's the versatility of everything else that was dragging SCH down that got bumped.

    I play with a SCH friend a lot and his Helices always impress me, especially on low-man things such as Ix'MNK. Very potent, especially when stacked on top of Bio and other DoT spells.

    As for numbers over all, they seem to vary a lot. I've seen anywhere from 60 or 120 on high level sky and sea mobs. Haven't seen it used on any HNMs, yet, though.

    I second what lordwafik says. Now scholar is just basically an offensive version of RDM. At least thats how I see it

    With absorb-int just applied to kirin, I have seen helix land for 1! That was the last time she tried to use them on gods, so I am unsure how well they work on others.

    Were you using weather effects/prevailing weather to boost the damage? Using my normal nuking setup setup (+55'ish int with some MAB thrown in) in Apollyon NW, I was getting 150-180'ish on kings w/ noctohelix.

    Oour resident sch was getting 100ish on JoP, which we were pretty impressed by.

    Could you ask him for me? I'm trying to figure out if pure INT will cut it endgame or does it work like any old nuke.

    based on conjecture i'd say it will be primarily heavy heavy int that will up your damage after the weather. int is an additive effect, at least in classic nukes like thunder 4 while MAB is a multiplicative effect. since your ratio is so badly skewed towards low numbers, my inclination would be that the additive nature of int will outshine MAB while contributing slightly to your macc too.

    My estimate will be I need to stack high levels of INT everywhere I can and skill everywhere else to get decent numbers out. Problem is testing things like Errant Body versus Scholar Gown. This is my main reasoning for posting, wondering what kind of setups people have found to be effective so far.

    No, really, make a LJ or something and post your test results with some mathematicalculus.

    I'm extremely interested in the results this will give

    People seem to just discard it as a bad spell but I think with the right setup it might be pretty profficient.

    Since the update, their uniqueness has kinda gone out the window on many mobs. It's just more beneficial to just use a Parsimony'd Tier IV spell now for quick and steady damage.

    The problem with using INT in the formula is that unlike BLM, a SCH cannot get a good 120INT/320 elemental skill necessary for effectively nuking high HNMs. A SCH who focuses on a solid elemental skill gear set can easily get off unresisted nukes for much more damage on these mobs anyway.
