ok i see sites list this as both 54 and 52 cloth sub skill..... which is right? Some friends are needing them and my cloths only 54 atm so i need to lv it up, but if it is 54 i can never hit HQ T1 which is what they want. Any and all help is appreciated, I always do my research before hand but there is always differences on sites about this ones subskill needed and i dont have the means of testing the sub skill, nor do i have the pocket book to do testing lol... just hit high enough to HQ it so im still broke, (27k).

its gotta be 54. Otherwise some people have some terrible luck. I made a few conte at 61 +3+1 cloth so im assuming its 54. I havent tried since i deleveld cloth but people i know are 0/30+ with 60 cloth. I was around 2/13.

I made mine with 61+1+3 Cloth as well, so I'm also agreeing on the 54 level sub.

well luckly im not 100 leather just yet then.... i always though you could only be in incriments of 10s for skills so like 90 and 70 cloth lol..... got to reading today and seems you can be 99 and 61 which will be just fine since i dont plan to HQ any 100 skill synths.

if i dont take leather to 100 will i be missing out on anything important? like on dusk gloves will it hurt my HQ chance on those? oh and i guess i would be missing out on cerb+1

hmm it might be worth lowering leather back down to 92 and taking cloth to 68 to get the gp item? or do you think it be a waste of time/gil?

Waste of time and gil, afaik off the top of my head one of the only relevant synths in LC that needs these requirements are those conte fagpants, and really, do you wanna lose your T1 on Cerb +1 and sink more money to T1 a synth that is in extremely low demand besides this one person?

I agree with Sath, it's not really worth it just for the Conte Cosciacles.

The only/main reason my Cloth was above 60 is because my Cloth was 63 before I decided to do Leather, so I didn't really have to go out of my way to get t1 on it.

I agree and disagree... I know on my server not many people went the 99 and 61 route. So i stayed there until i made some quick money and a pair of the pants for me. The question you need to ask yourself is "How many Cerb mantles will i be making vs. the number of conte pants". Conte pants are 1mil on my server and NQ was break even/profit. If its all about money then id stay at 99 for a while. If you want your own mantle or make a lot then go 100.

Its been a long time since I made these....way back during that wonderful Christmas of inflation (made 25mil on first pair and forget the second...) but I was 100 leather with 60 cloth and support. Being so long ago I can't give an accurate number of synths performed but it was definitely 2/8-10ish synths. I know I was 1/3 on the first time and I want to say 1/5 on the second. I can chalk it up to just luck on a t0, but I lean toward it being t1 and some people just having wretched luck.

could any mega crafter let me know? if you dont want to make it public that is cool, but i really would like to make my friend some, on my server these are not really worth time to make as they sell slow, so its not gil im after just be cool to have my really close friend wearing a signed pair by me.

even the sites are confused, ffxiah says its 54, and ffxirecipies says its 52, and i cant read jp... but some forum i looked at had lots of 52 and 54 in it so im sure they are confused too.

No "mega crafter" can tell you that. Do your own testing or find someone with Cloth36 or Cloth47 who can help do testings.

I'm 0/50 on my last batch of these, with LC103+CC61, but that's not conclusive.
