Seriously - Killing the Tier 2 Marid has gotten to quite a painful point. Everyone wants to solo it. Often we had people streight out refuse to let us help them "because we want to see if we can kill it!".


HELLO? It´s a fucking MARID moving slow as fuck. I could go there on WHM weekend primetime and spend 6 hrs soloing with Dia 2 and cockblocking the spawn just to prove my point. Please look for something more challenging to test your skills and get over the marid.

Not everyone wants to harass people for help to do lower tier ZNMs.. if you can do it on your own time, go for it. Declining help from someone stuck waiting is a douche move, but I'd much rather dualbox one with my BLM mule and waste 40 min of my own time than drag a party out there and waste a combined ~100 min counting travel time. I have yet to have anyone show up while I was doing this, this RMT group is the only time I've even seen other people at a ZNM I was doing >___> Maybe remora is just less populated ?__?

I agree with this. Soloing or duoing an NM is fine I think. If you're the first to solo it and are trying to show that is IS soloable, great, but there's only a few ZNM left for that anyway. Otherwise, accept the help and move on.

I was fortunate enough to run into a RDM who was willing to accept our help before my first Marid try, and the boots dropped for him (yay).

Remora IS less populated but run-ins still occur.

We were low-man kiting the wivre around the tower the other day, sure enough 2 rmt nins and a whm were chasing it from behind hoping it would go unclaimed. Chased it on each of the four pops we did. Was kind of curious why they were after it since it drops nothing sellable (aside from grips, but Dea's grips suck anyway), but if theyre doing znms anyway I guess it kinda makes sense.

(Before people go emo about stalling the repop ??? because of kiting strat, only took about 15 min a kill.)

Welcome to any server's Campaign. I notice its almost always PLD taking monsters about 1 mile from the group and trying to solo them. That's nice you can solo a 75 monsters with your Ares set. I could really give 2 shits, I was killing campaign mobs solo at level 60 BST, this doesn't mean you saw me dragging monsters away every single time.

I've had to deal with people like this on the 2 servers I do play on, and its almost always some tard PLD measuring his e-peen.

I drag monsters a little ways back so that the 3 PLD75/DNC35s and 2 NIN75/WHM37s don't all pile on and get me spammed with TP moves faster than the eye can see since none of them could tank one of the idle Quadavs by themselves.

The SMNs are welcome to wack away at whatever I'm fighting, they actually fucking Haste me.

I like it when people stall campaign. I spam cure myself for points (zenith swap to bring HP back down) when there are no mobs around, and you can always get new tags if you hit the 5000 hp cap.

I wish they were level 75, then I might actually get some parrying skillups. I pull mobs away to solo, but only as far as getting out of AoE/linking range of all the other mobs. I also kill a lot faster than those PLDs you're describing.

Guys, anytime that RMT see people fighting a new NM, they are going to automatically think that there's some way they can make gil off it. This isn't new, it's happened with every release/update. It will be amusing when they figure out there's two things they can get out of ZNM to help buy their rice: jack and shit.
