I remember Odin specific forums used to be pretty active but it's really not worth viewing nowadays. Some of the job specific forums are good though.

Certain ones like the SAM and NIN forums are pretty decent. I check those melee ones since the melee talk here is way too complex for me usually. But yea, BLM one is pretty much someone asks a question (often actually legit), then gets shot down by someone who actually doesn't know that much. I do view them for entertainment though.

I got soured to KI's WHM forums ages ago when I talked about gear swaps for varying spells and stuff and basically got told I talked complete garbage and that MP WAS THE ONLY STAT WORTH EQUIPPING ON WHM, FUCK +MND... at the time I was only around level 50 - who knew that a year and some later most serious HNM WHMs would say "max MP equipping is stupid, MND/Haste/etc please."

And Odin server forum is just trash. I ran away from there when I started posting here rugularly, which was about 6 months after I actually joined I think. It's just spammy stuff that has nothing to do with the game anymore. People caught on that the group there was a decent community on our server and started to latch on, hoping to get in with a 'cool crowd,' until they drove all the old school endgamers out. You know, like that dance club that was the cool place to be 4 yrs ago before EVERYONE heard about it, and now only posers go there and still think it's cool.

I actually checked back now and again for a long while, then went back to post in some thread about something earlier this year? late last year? And haven't been back since. I remember when I found KI and used it as refuge from Alla... then came here.

Job forums there are great, server boards were nice before everyone migrated to BG, since there was dramalama all over, it was great. Now, not so much. Remora was just an exciting board to watch right after that world shift, it was basically a "Post nudies of <person you hate>" since EVERYONE ON REMORA SENT NUDES for some stupid reason.

Melee job boards are usually better than the mage job boards, the "Post pics of your X" are nice topics. And yes, WAR = spam forum but with moderation and more people.
