Farming spots?

My money well just ran dry and I was wondering what is good farming these days. I used to do Lesser Gaylas way back in the day, back before it as freaking crowded. With the competition can only average about 25k/game night and thats added to the fact that they only pop at night, leaving me with a measly 25k/hr. Any other suggestions? Preferably something I can farm as mnk/thf and live off 420 chakra + 400 regen from invigorate, if not /dnc is fine too. Thanks for your help

Depending on the price of goods on your server I always found farming Manticore Hair or Antican Pauldrons good items to farm. Used the Manticore Hair for Kaginawa and Antican Pauldrons sell almost instantly on our server or I desynthed Darksteel.

From what I hear, Mistoletoe sells nicely from fighting trees although at times it can be crowded (on our server anyway)

Where this nm spawns kill all lady bugs for wings and run towards krt for a few tree's for mistletoe. With any luck you can walk away pretty rich in a few hours.

East Ronfa[S], farm ladybug wings and keep repeating the quest "seeing spots" from wyatt next to the fountain in front of the MH. 3k for every 4wings you trade so 9k/stack easy 36k for 4 stacks and the droprate is pretty common, you could also camp skogs fru for her echphoria ring while ur at it.

oh wow, was looking at ffxi ah and saw 8k/stack on ladybug wings and that it sold slow and was like eh, i prolly won't try this then i saw one of the comments that they are used for a repeatable quest 3k for 4 wings. How often do they drop? I'm currently trying trents for mistletoes in east ronf S (came here becuase lolwiki said higher drop rate here and also many said lots on lufase and theres no competition here) but getting a slow drop rate. Need to set a timer next time and try to see my average drops/hr

2nd edit: Just tried lady bugs for an hour, got about 2 stacks, which I had to farm the entire hour for as opposed to bats farming only at night and making 25k/hr. Back to the drawing board. Or was I having shit luck on lady bug drops and should try again?

yes, I was. Was killing faster than anyone else there too with constant pulls and hermes sandals running between bugs.

I was planning on farming Ladybugs too;; Hopefully if I bring my mule I'll be able to make 30k+/hr, with the occasional 100k from the NM.

Some dickwad was guarding the NM pop spot so where if u leave he'd be the one there to get it. So only way could have had a chance at NM is if didn't rly farm anything too far away.

Mistletoes drop rate off the treants in Lufaise aren't that great, and on my server there was usually 2 RMT constantly there. I think one whole afternoon of farming I walked away with 2 stacks, which is pretty meh for the amount of time spent there (way too many hours, was practically a whole afternoon)

The ladybug quest seems nice, did not know about that. I don't like having to camp/try to get something that fluctuates in price. Constantly repeatable (I'm assuming?) for a guaranteed 3k/4 is nice imo. I took the Mistletoes I'd farm and make Remedies for NPC which is nice (NQ synth is 2 and they NPC for 3200 each) but the drop rate on Mistletoes is not great + RMT and others camping in Lufaise makes it not worth it. Mistletoes being 60k and pretty steady on the AH at that price, buying them is not that profitable.

But hey, thanks for the tip on the ladybug wings! Learn something new everyday indeed.

Well, if you want to rething mistletoes, I've been at Lufase for a while now and the drop rate by eyeballing is more or less the same as in East Ronf S, which has 5 pops with 0 competition on my server. out of all the diff camps I tried today, I made the best money there.

Edit: And I belive thats compared to the 8 pops (i think) that lufase has but with competition

When you refer to "there", which spot? East Ronfaure(S) or Lufaise?

You'll want to fight Walking Tree mobs. There are 5 pops here and on Fairy there is 0 competition, none in this camp, while there were 3 others when I went to Lufase, which ahs 8 treant pops.
The red dots on the maps show the general area of the 5 pops. I start with the farthest to the left and work my way to the farthest to the right. Repops should be up by the time you get back to start, if not, will pop very soon.

Edit: May want to blow the map up to see the walls n such, if not, won't take u morethan a couple mins to figure out on ur own once u get there anyways.

I tried Ladybugs today with RDM/NIN and SAM/THF. I think I probably make more gil/hr tele-whoring. ;;

Yeah i am main THF when i farm those ladybugs with TH3 i get about a stack in a few minutes; about 3wings for every 5 i kill roughly is my droprate =/ sorry shoulda said so in my previous post. so yeah /thf, the drop rate might be alot worse =(

as for skogs fru...yeah sometimes there would be campers there but still kill the 3 PHs and keep track of the time for 5min repops and just casually "run by" to go to the opposite side and you might just get lucky lol (i know i have and it pissed people off XD) pops infront of me or behind the large tree on the east side lol

Bugards in Misereaux(? lol) Coast are a decent 25k/hr if not taken. Need an open inventory though; the npc is on the third floor of safehold, by the way.
