Add Remove programs not showing

Past couple of weeks Add remove programs has been blank. I have scanned my computer for viruses,etc. Only thing I haven't touched is the registry. Any thoughts on this? FYI I did reinstall about 2 1/2 months ago, haven't tweaked anything on the computer. I am trying a system resto to see if that does the trick.....

Well, just did a system restore, and thing is still blank.

Start > Run > REGSVR32 APPWIZ.CPL > Hit Enter.

Will that check for errors or replace what is missing day?

It should fix your issue says the mighty interwebs. REGSVR32 registers .dlls and the like.

Add/Remove Programs tool displays installed programs incorrectly =)

Ok thanks. Yeah, it popped up saying "Is complete" then nothing but a ok button. I am using chk disk right now to see whats up with windows files

OK did you check to see if they are there now?

Yeah I checked, it was still blank. the Windows File Check is about 1/5 way done @_@

Hmm... that link I posted had some things to check in the registry if that didn't resolve.

Edit(For you cephius): Been searching around, found some other posts suggesting a scanreg /fix, but I think you'll need a bootdisk.

Let me know how the file scan goes. Everything I'm reading points to registry, possible rights to the registry keys, or just needing to run the scan and fix.
