Weird Laptop Problem

I was on my laptop looking at different drum sets, nothing out of the ordinary, when it goes into some sort of hibernate mode randomly. The power buton light is blinking, and when I clicked it it looked like it had restarted, but it brought me back to the same place I was. A few seconds later it did the same thing. I shut it off, started in safe mode, and tried to system restore. It shut up right after I confirmed system restore and now it won't do anything at all..It's plugged in etc. so it isn't the battery.

Edit: That was weird, left it alone for a few minutes and now it's working fine >_>

Probably the power management unit or whatever your laptop has. It was a somewhat common problem on some older Powerbooks, and resetting that would (usually) fix it.

Windows I think it's more handled in software, not sure.

Or you might have had something leaning on the power button, or the switch (if there is one) that tells your laptop that it's closed?

You might have hit a combination of keys on the keyboard accidentally to put it into hibernate, or check your power management settings.
