Triggering Sorcerer's Ring Latent

Greetings all, working on a setup to trigger the latent effect for the Sorcerer's Ring, and would like some advice on the gear needed (Taru BLM 75, no HP merits in this case). If anything I need the exact HP figure needed to get to the latent effect trigger.

Taru BLM/WHM with no HP merits has 754HP. As long as you don't use any HP- equipment (ie. Penitent's Rope), you'd need 754*.76=573.04, or under 573 to trigger. If you use Penitent's, then it'd be under 734*.76=557.84.

BLM/RDM has 772, so 772*.76=586.72 and 752*.76=571.52. You're looking at getting 201hp off, which means 3 50hp-to-mp equip (Zenith or Serket) and a Morigana Choker (40 hp-to-mp), along with Penitent should do the trick at all times.

Whatinthe already did the math... my advice would be to try and find gear that helps activate latent, while having another purpose in all your setups. Most of the time you won't be able to afford carrying around extra gear *just* to lower your hp.

Good examples would be Zenith mitts (nuking obvviously), Zenith crown (which I use for stoneskin), Mahatma pigaches (stoneskin as well), Dalmatica if you have one (idle/standing gear).
That's already hp-175, that you would carry around anyway. I also slap on Zenith slacks on my standing gear macro for hp/mp balance, so it isn't that much of a waste of space (if I had a dalma I would put that instead ; ; )

Also, try to lower your hp a little more than needed if ever you want to use it as /whm, just to give you a few seconds before auto regen screws everything.
