Capping enhancing

What I used to do was go to a Nomad Moogle, spam barspells etc. on myself, and then change subs to get all MP back.

Besieged. when my RDM hit 75, I was capped from WHM which was quite a ways below what RDM's is, I spammed pro1/shell1 on the Volunteers, took 3 Besieged's to cap.

I just spammed it while waiting for shit. Taking forever for your CoP static to gather? Spam some enhancing magic. Took a long frigging time to cap it, but I was ecstatic when I finally did.

Spammed prot4/shell4 at generals in besieged. Works pretty well.

Buffing/curing friendly NPCs in Besieged is the way to go for Enhancing/Healing skillups; that way you get the same skillup rate as if you were nuking/debuffing mobs of a similar level.

Just to add to the above, if you have any desire to cap your healing skill, and don't want to rely on Besieged, you can cast curative spells on non-undead for skillups at a similar rate, due to their(I'm assuming its why, anyway) being the same if not higher level than you. And, fun-fact, you don't lose invisible casting curative spells for "no effect".

I made and main healed meripos from 60-75 >_> Hasting didn't even cap out each level

I capped mine in Merit Parties when I was on my "Merit whore" phase.

Like others said, meriting and besieged are good, I capped my RDM skills back in the day in XP parties buuuut this was back in 2004 and standard party for me was whm blm rdm pld drg thf so there was a lot more refreshing and hasting going around. Join skill up parties with lot of DRKs or PLDs for similar results, casting on others is always faster skill ups than casting on yourself.

Powerleveling/babysitting lower level peeps is also a fast way to cap healing/enhancing, spam prot/shell I or II on them all you want and stick to cure II if possible and spam it lots and lots. I capped healing/enhancing on my husband's PLD (pre-reprisal a far worse job than RDM to cap enhancing on) while helping out my own subjob-leveling parties.

Stop skimping on the Refreshes and Hastes! I'm pretty sure mine was very close to cap when I dinged 75, but then, I did a ton of soloing and exploring back in those days as RDM was my first 75. Sneak/Vis'ing through high level zones just looking around did wonders for it I suppose. Also, the Phalanx, Haste, Enspell, Spikes rotation when soloing coffer mobs or whatever did the job REALLY quick.
