    Food Craving, can't resist.

So I started my diet to loose ten to twenty pounds. But for some reason, I am craving more than ever for food now. Not all food though, none of that nasty burger stuff. I been craving especially for chinese food. I have the right mind to drive half across the state just to get some of those delicious food right now. It is killing me. How do you deal with it?

    What I'm craving most are:

Dim Sum, god please, sho mei, shrimp dumplings, those tofu skin wrapped deals, pork rips braised, mustered duck boneless duckfeet, oh god curry cuttlefish, and seasoned jellyfish.

Also Peking ducks wrapped with onion and plum sauce.

Cantonese clear wonton soup, seafood over crispy turnovers, leek turnovers, salty duck, sesame oil chicken, yang chow fried rice, and booba tea.

    fuck this isn't helping.

    What do you guys crave?

    How to fight the urge to eat chinese food: Remember the fact that half of it is made from dog and cat. Pizza cravings are the worst, especially a meat lovers one.;;

i brush my teeth when i have an outrageous food craving (ie: panzerotti...with mild italian sausage...ground beef...ham...extra cheese....fuck, this is a horrible topic, there should be a tag saying "WARNING: PEOPLE WITH NO SELF CONTROL STAY OUT")

i work out 7 days a week, any food craving is pretty much bad as i am closely watching what i eat.
brushing my teeth totally turns me off eating anything for at least an hour, and after an hour the craving is usually gone.

Alternatively, drink more water. if you have water all slushin' around in your stomach you probably wont want to eat anything.

I really think half the reason I work out is so I can eat more and enjoy it more.

I've been substituting cravings with other things with similar pallettes.
    Example:

Chips (i'm crazy for chips) -> I bought some babaganouge (sorry bad
spelling) and mini pitas. This statisifes my "salt" craving.

For my sweet craving like pop, I eat apples.

You could also create a cheat day and let yourself having what you want.
Fighting the urge in the long run, leads to binging which can hurt weightloss efforts.

This is the biggest reason I work out, and I'm not ashamed of it

The only thing that is holding me back from my cravings right now is that they are hard to get. Even if I want those food I have to either drive across state or go out of state. What I would give for a good afternoon of dim sum right now. Dim Sum beats all food from anywhere it is just that good. The best dim sum I had is in this little place in NY. My parent had a custom room for us and they brought all the dim sum we wanted. I swear there were 100 types of dim sum. Don't get me wrote, I don't eat a lot but just a little bite would work.

being able to eat 3000 calories a day is CRUCIAL. granted i dont have anything resembling abs, its nice to be able to drink all weekend, stuff my face with pizza and other terrible food in the middle of the night, and still look like a relatively normal dude.

    If only.

And Chinese food is one of the worst things to crave, as ridiculously tasty as it is. Especially if you're trying to lose weight. All that sodium slows your metabolism down like crazy.

My diet is the one thing that holds me back. I go to the gym 4-5 times a week, but I still eat like crap. I have no willpower concerning food, although Im trying now. Only problem is that Im hungry all the time, so the best solution is just eat a bunch of smaller meals throughout the day.(even though Im still always hungry) Which keeps you from bitching, and also boosts metabolism. Finding healthy foods that satisfy me is a pain, but I try to cut out bad stuff, so I either undereat(1300-1400 calories) or I overeat(983406283 calories).

Although this past weekend, I went away to visit my little sister at college with the family. So we had big dinners/breakfast all that crap. I used to have good abs, and I realized that theyve just been obliterated. So I was like "THATS IT!"... so this should give me motivation for about a week.

lol you guys are like my co-workers, they have no idea how to treat me out. I don't like fast food and I hate chain joins. Pizza hut, dominos, chili's, IHOP, applebee etc are nasty. I like mom and pop joints. There is this really good place called Three Guy Itliano that I like to go. Best pizza ever. Hand toss, and over baked. You can see their breakoven as your pizza get baked. So awesome. Their meat lover actually have real herb in it that they chop and toss on top. They cut their own meat and their serve them in huge junks. No paper thin peperoni and the italian sausage they cut are huge chunks. Oh and they grill their own bacon. Yummmm . . . . one of the bacon they grill and put on the pizza is mixed with pepper and some other spice, it is SOOOO GOOD. Shit this is really not helping and I can't brush my teeth at work.

When I crave something it's usually soda. OMG NEED SODA.

But other common ones are chocolate (though I don't eat a lot of it, I just crave it.) spaghettios, sushi, and corn dogs.

Yea, I'm weird. And luckily, I'm one of those people who can eat anything and stay small. Not bragging, it's just... true.

I've started to run though, not because I need to lose weight, but because while I am small, I am nowhere near "healthy, athletic, or fit."

My solution to my cravings? Easy. I'm fuckin lazy as shit. Gotta open the can and microwave it? /shakes head Too much work atm. *continues pulling in the merit party*

    But tonight? Perfect dinner/cravings satisfied:

Turkey burgers, tater tots, bud light lime(for him), smirnoffs(for me!), chocolate frosted cake while watching election results, and an hour long Colbert special.

Topped with a hottie to do it all with and then a much more enjoyable dinner after the show.

Most of those dishes are prolly more fattening then a fast food burger you talk about. But if you work out regularly and are semi-careful about what you eat... then your really fine.

I crave Ben & Jerry's Strawberry Shortcake Icecream. I <3 it so much and could prolly splurge and eat and entire mini-container in an evening if I didn't pace myself

I'm not a big fan of Chinese food, though I like it and eat from time to time, so I am spared these cravings. I'll agree, I think Chinese is one of the worst to crave -- The MSG/Sodium is killer.

Japanese and Korean food though? Dear lord, I can't hold back. And as I said earlier, I love sushi.
