I'm a taru, by the way. Any strategy for soloing this?
RDM/NIN with crazy ass melee gear can solo this with chainspell and a few meds.
Avesta made a video of it, solo for me wasted time/gil so I just brought a second person (BLU) and it was easy.
I've actually been trying to do this for a few weeks in attempts, and just succeeded a few days ago. I did this as nin/dnc, and my race is Elvaan.
The mobs are easy. Time is the biggest constraint. So I didn't mess around w/ gear, not relying on level synced stuff at all. Bring an icarus wing and whatever meds you want. I brought some regen drinks, a wing, reraiser, and powder boots, which I used to flee to the mobs at the beginning. The bc area is rather large, and I 100% would have lost if I hadn't used these at the beginning, as I won @ 14 minutes, 26 seconds. I'm hoping to cut the time down in future attempts.
The hume (who would be weak to SC damage in my case) and the taru, who is weak to physical damage, were easy and self-explanatory. The mithra came next, damagable mostly by ranged. Ninja technically can use any ranged type weapon, but throwing is what I thought would work best, as it is A- skill, opposing C Marksmanship and E Archery. Also, do not use a boomerang. Ninja stars are the way to go. 2.5x the damage and much less delay. Yes, I know, no one uses ninja stars, and I'm not really sure on their usefulness @75, but in this enm, you can do damage comparable to ranger w/ them. The galka obviously kill w/ ninja nukes. I used the elemental wheel for the hell of it. It's likely to save time. I brought int rings and a moldavite earring. Anything helps reducing time.
I actually re-quested a lot of ninja af1 pieces which I believe helped a lot. The hands are a must. Ranged attack +20, and throwing skill +5. I also made sure to do this fight at night so that I could have the evasion on the legs, but also the ranged accuracy +10. The mithra was rather hard to hit for me, so I think these pieces were very important. Obviously capped throwing (203 @ level 60) is probably a must. Also, my nukes I noticed were getting resisted more commonly than I preferred. So I used the ninja head (ninjutsu skill +5), and it seemed to help quite a bit. There's some pieces that I am using next time, like Bullseye Cape and Ninjutsu Earring, which will probably help some. It's probably a good idea to get ninja feet to run to the chest at the end too. I didn't mess around w/ gear, and I won w/ 30 seconds to spare.
Sorry for the wall of text. I was planning on writing a guide for this fight, but ended up posting it here instead in brief. I hope this helps. I had a lot of fun doing it, and plan to keep going until both of those silly earrings drop. I haven't seen how Avesta does it, but it's always entertaining watching him play. Any questions, just lmk.
