It's not so much the temperature, or even the windchill, it's more the fact that this really isn't bad weather for mid-January at all. It gets much, much worse.

Its 75 degrees in South Florida and I fucking hate it. Honestly, I would trade you. I've been in temperatures that bad/worse but I've never been more miserable than the summers down here. That and I have half a closet full of shit I can't wear anymore.

I've always preferred hot weather to cold, though. I'd rather strip down than bundle up, give me 100 degrees over -30 any day. At least the heat doesn't cause physical pain, making it feel like someone's stabbing at your skin with a bunch of painfully sharp needles if you stay outside for more than 30 seconds at a time, gah.

I agree. Which is probably why I hate Florida so much. When I lived in NY it was always too cold to do anything outside. In Florida, I don't do anything outside really. But I will agree how much it sucks dealing with the cold weather early in the morning. It's like being stabbed with a knife over and over.

Minneapolis resident here... fuck it's cold today. I've lived in Minnesota the majority of my life (born and raised in northern Minnesota where it's even colder) so really Minneapolis isn't horrific comparatively.

I'd have to agree with the person who says they would prefer the cold over heat though... I would too, minus the snow. Ideally I'd like to live some place where it was 30-80 degrees all year round, not too hot or cold... like the pacific northwest. But I'm not really a big fan of Seattle in the time I spend there. I hate cities built on hills. Any suggestions?

But by far, the worst thing is the traffic which comes with snow/cold. Where in Minneapolis do you live Yuri? It took me 30 minutes to go a mile in Uptown yesterday. No joke.

The few times I've been to DC, its been during the summer & it gets pretty humid compared to what I'm used to up in Boston- of course doing a "walking tour" of all the monuments & whatnot probably didn't help.

I need to find a place with 70-80 degree temps year round, screw the extremes.
