The third season of HBO‘s Prohibition-era drama Boardwalk Empire will kick off Sunday, September 16 at 9 PM, HBO announced today. Season 3 of the series starring Steve Buscemi, Kelly Macdonald and Michael Shannon will be made up of 12 episodes.

little worried about where they go without Pitt but more excited for this than any other show this year. season 2 was the best tv i've seen in years, since The Wire / Sopranos

can't believe there's not more talk about this season, in my opinion this is the best (non comedy) show on tv next to homeland... at this point it feels like it should be titled "let's see who's the biggest psycho this week", just awesome

We're only three episodes into the third season of Boardwalk Empire, and HBO has already officially announced that the incredible series will continue on through a fourth season! Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming had this to say in a statement,
