Kparser
I'm sure there are more
I never can get KParser to work![]()
i use one called direct parse. i could never get kparser to work either.
Why doesn't someone just make a windower plugin? Or maybe a website where you could upload the windower log file....
Anything that relies on .net is pretty gay, imho... this is why you people are having a hard time making stuff work. If these stupid programmers would just learn the win32 api, their shit would work on all windows machines flawlessly and take less time to write.
I'd like to thank you on behalf of the FFXI community for volunteering to write a more reliable and compatible parser. Oh, what's that? You were being condescending and flaunting your programming knowledge with no intention of helping out? That sucks dude, that's so not cool. Seriously, the people writing these are doing them in their free time and likely aren't professional programmers.. they're still attempting to help the community though. A program released to casual specifications that works for 90% of people anyway is much better than no program at all.
SourceForge.net: DirectParse
Open up DvsConf file and change it to: MEMLOC=0x57A2C8
Such anger in Standard Discussion? Tisk tisk. Go away please. Perhaps you'd lick to mock everyone who updates the wiki with anything but the most detailed and perfect information and nitpick every event strategy while you're at it?
Seriously, don't complain about something that's free and is nearly 100% functional for most people unless you plan on making it better yourself. Good lord. I have my complaints and frustrations with parsers but I'd never dictate what would be "better". I might be a heinous bitch enough of the time but... wow... this is something else.
To the OP-- The 'old' devilproductions-thing Parser (from years ago) still works fairly well for me. Only modifications needed have been new WS names, and it doesn't track Retaliation damage. Does most whatever else and is very straightforward.
FFXI Log Parser
Strange. Might you have some adware on your system? I've downloaded and ran it through winrar, winzip, and the winxp native zip opener thing and all were fine.
*edit* are you doing "right click -> save target as" If you had a Demo of the program installed and use the "open" its most likely going to keep using your expired program. XP/Vista should be able to open a .zip with explorer (right click -> open with).
I could never get KParser to work also, DirectParse is pretty nice tho![]()
I've never had any issue at all running KParser. If I try to parse a zerg with it, it will hang but I reopen it and open the parse and all the info is there.
I don't even know what power archiver is >_>
