    FFXI Font + Graphic

Hey BG, I was wondering if anyone has some useful information on how to improve my graphics in FFXI as well as improve performance and decrease lag.

Also I was wondering how to get this font: http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b9...115_001003.png

    I'm running on Vista 64-bit.

    Specs:

    Intel Core2 Duo CPU T8100 @2.10 ghz 2.10 ghz

    Nvidia Geforce 8800M GTS

    4g RAM

anything would be awesome. I want to make FFXI look awesome.

I don't think .dat swapping will improve it. you can also search ffxi registry here or on google to tweak the settings

For the font google FFXI Style

Aikar has a decent UI tweaker that bunches a lot of the dat mods together as well. It's on the windower forums.

Also.... switch out from Vista and run Windows 7. Best performance boost I ever got.

Microsoft has a trial version of it on their site. If you use it though you'll have to 'buy' the retail version sometime before next March.

I'm kinda noob at operating systems and all that stuff.. Would anyone be willing to briefly explain how I "switch" from Vista to Windows 7? Do I uninstall Vista or repartition or something? Or do I just install Windows 7 etc...

    I'm stumped.

Microsoft most likely has 7 in the form of an .iso, just burn the .iso using CD burning software (if you don't know any see Tech, it has a list of good + free applications in a sticky)

After you burn it boot your PC from the CD, you'll probably need to change your boot order to do so. In order to do so, go into your BIOS and change it by pressing a key when you start up (it varies depending on motherboard, most common is Delete).

Once you boot from the screen, because it is windows it'll give you instructions on how to install it from there. It's pretty self explanatory.

Note: Doing this will format your HDD and any data on it will be lost.

I gave you general directions, so if you need something a little more specific, let me know in PM and I'll walk you through everything.

Also, if you have any doubt, ask a question, Tech is a good place to go, and people there aren't going to laugh it up as to how 'dumb' your question is considered. But please, please, please, ask questions...preventing problems is so much easier than fixing them.

#1 Improving graphics and lower lag don't get together

#2 If you want to improve graphics download this http://www.armadalinkshell.com/yabai...build_1004.rar set it to high and enjoy.

EDIT: Its the old Mogtoolz FYI V.Scan it for your safety just in case, but i know its clean.

They have a really good guide to the process on the Microsoft site.
