Windows 7 Full version available now (?)

I'm currently downloading the professional version from my universities MSDNN site. I'm an IT student so it costs me nothing. Some googling seems to imply that it is the full version, came out on the 14th of this month.

I'm not missing something, this is the real version?

Yes its the real retail version, Just reformatted to add it myself. MSDN is a great thing to have access to sometimes.

Still have access to MSDNAA from my school (Professional edition only) even though I haven't signed up for an IT class for 2 quarters. Should be gone by next quarter but I wrote my keys down. This is the full RTM and so far its awesome.

can i install this version on multiple PC's? I want to install the 32bit one on my laptop first to have a play with it, then later the 64bit one on my PC once im happy with it. Is it just one of each version, or as many as you download basically?

I've installed 64bit win7 on 2 computers so far, so its not limited to just 1 PC as far as I can tell.

Yup! I've got Windows 7 32bit on my old Desktop and I'm running windows 7 64bit on my new build. Surprisingly, everything is working pretty smooth out of the box. Even though it's built on Vista I haven't run into any of the Vista issues I had (as far as hardware compatibility, software on Vista and the OS itself was rather stable from my experience). It looks an awful lot like KDE though, D: lol.

On MSDN you can request multiple keys (I think technically each key is supposed to be only for one machine)

The keys do work on both 32bit and 64bit (as long its the same category, ie Ultimate, etc)

according to what I read before, 32b and 64b will be on different disks due to size constraints BUT the keys will work between versions. I have the retail isos for both 32b and 64b pro already, so you can get them np

I've been running Windows 7 64b on my home theatre PC for the last couple weeks and, while I admit it's very similar to Vista, it is MUCH better. The performance is much better, and the Media Center is far, far better. Plus, my HTPC has two of these tuner cards:

Nothing pissed me off more than the fact that Vista is unable to switch tuning modes in hybrid tuners like mine, on the fly ... something that Windows 7 fixed, 100%.

Now if Microsoft figures out a way to receive satellite TV without a set-top box (thus liberating me from Comcast), I'll be one happy motherfucker.
