Controller breaking moments...

What's the stupidest thing you've done or the worst thing that's happened to you recently in a video game?

My example:

I started up GTA: SA again. I've been trying to get the paramedic missions done before I really dig into the story. Last night I finally managed it but not before doing one of the stupidest things I've ever done in my history with video games.

I got to level 12 and was 3 patients in. I checked the map to plan my next route. I then proceeded hit cancel out of the map one too many times. 'Paramedic mission cancelled.' It was my own damn fault but whoever made those two commands the same button needs to die.

I played SF4 online, fought a bunch of shitty shotos but lost even though i knew exactly what they were going to do, threw my controller at the wall.

Soul calibur used to make me rage a lot, just some of the end-of-story battles and whatnot were re-fucking-diculously hard, broke at least one ps2 controller on those games.

as for dumbest things i've done, probably one was accidentally saving over my FFTA file that had absolutely everything, like 110% completion type thing with perfect everything on everyone everything so god damn perfect, dunno how i managed to save over it =(

fire emblem, attacked a boss when I shouldn't have after a long mission with tons of awesome stat gains. died. that would have been bad enough (good stat gains are rare in FE) but when I slammed my DS on the couch, I must have jarred the cartridge... because when I loaded it back up later, it froze. reinserted the cartridge, my save file was gone.

as far as controller-breaking moments go, let's see... cheap bosses in RPGs are always good (Sarah in Suikoden 3 before I knew about Silent Lake caused a permanent dent in my Suiokden 3 box). Soul Calibur on the hardest difficulty mode once caused me to break TWO controllers in one day. that was when I realized I have a problem, lol. and of course, bad camera angles in 3d platformers causing deaths at the end of long missions. fuck you, Super Mario Sunshine. fuck you raw and hard.

Bad camera and bad controls will do it for me. I threw my controller at Psychonauts so many god damned times.

I refuse to play Fire Emblem without save states. Fuck that game...

Mega Man 9 had me raging pretty hardcore for a while. I had to go back and play MM2 just to get used to the difficulty.

Playing against the Patriots in Madden 08' online. Just as bad as flowchart kens in SFIV, but you can't do anything about it.

Biggest rage moment I ever had was against Ex/Gold Sol-Badguy in Guilty Gear XX. He walks at Chip's dashing speed, had health regen, infinite tension, and constant Dragon Install. I've had that fucker down to 5% health only to have him pull a FRC Dust Loop out of his ass usually in the 3rd round.

Only time I had to break my controller was on Diddy Kong Racing 64 in this one leve where you were on hovvercrafts and had to get coins and it was mirrored stage

Psychonauts was a tragedy. fantastic game hidden under layers of control and camera issues. I still loved it, but it could have been so much better.

I've gotten pissed at games before, but I've yet to throw or break a controller over it. Though, I do remember being up at an old friend's once, he got so pissed at a game, he threw his SNES controller at the console and I guess broke the reset button since games would perpetually reload.

Game called Infantry on pc years back. I would always play solo and would put a bunch of work into killing someone and then a team of retards come in and spam the guy and steal the kill and then I have to run away for a while trying to to die to them. Repeat x1000

I've snapped several sticks on my 360 controllers because of the bullshit deaths I've received in CoD4. Smashed a few xbox controllers back in the day on halo, when everyone decided to gank me the whole match and my teammates were spinning circles. Its amazing watching people follow you through the walls perfectly, then fire the exact moment before you step out and you walk into a head shot. Especially after the 2nd or 3rd time.

I haven't myself but I remember walking into my room and watching my brother play through Zelda: OoT and trying to do one of the horse races. He ended up throwing my n64 controller against the wall 5 minutes later.
