Ruby is coming back with a new actress. (Loved the character, hated the actress, so perfect solution.)

Bella is not coming back. (Which is a shame because she was such a great foil.)

And I'm with Remyo on the whole angels thing. I was hoping they'd eventually introduce them. I knew it would happen as soon as they started talking about how no demon could pull Dean out of hell. This season is going to be awesome.

Where we left off: Ruby (Katie Cassidy) was possessed by the demon Lilith. Then she trapped the Winchester brothers and sent Dean (Jensen Ackles) to Hell, thus fulfilling Dean’s contract to sacrifice his life for Sam (Jared Padalecki).

What's next: Dean rises from the dead! The season opens four months later with the supernaturally healed elder Winchester brother digging his way out of his own grave. "We kick off the season with the primary mystery — how did he get out, who got him out and why," creator Eric Kripke says. Meanwhile, a grieving Sam is dallying with a pretty waitress (Wildfire's Genevieve Cortese).

Lucifer rising: Lilith gets busy on a conspiracy aimed at unleashing the biggest baddie of all: the devil himself. "Lucifer has been gone so long that most demons don’t believe in him anymore," Kripke says, "but if Lilith’s plan works, that’s big, big trouble."

Grandfather knows best: Mitch Pileggi (The X-Files) plays the boys’ grandpa in an episode that flashes back to Winchester parents John and Mary’s first get-together.

Tricks and treats: A black-and-white episode pays tribute to classic monster movies of the 1930s and '40s, with the brothers fighting off Dracula, the Wolfman and the Mummy. Another episode explores the origins of Halloween. "We’re returning to the dark, bloody beginnings of this very frightening pagan holiday," Kripke says. Spooky!

I was expecting something a little more epic for getting him out of hell, but I guess they'll explain it more in later episodes as opposed to the start. Looks like it's gonna be a good season though.

How do you get more epic than the first "good" entity of supernatural origin after 3 full seasons finally showing up to pull him out? I'm pretty sure Angel's don't get to freely waltz into Hell and pull people out too easily. Not much of a battle of good vs evil if good can just walk in and free all POW's at will, when POW's are casualties in this war.

The "bad" thing though is that getting God and the Devil involved you're pretty much making it so as soon as the Devil is gone the show can only go downhill. Probably a bad example but Charmed totally sucked ass as soon as they killed...whoever the leader of Hell was called in that show, even though it kept going on for a few more seasons (which I couldn't even watch because of how horrible it became).

If the end of season 4 means they banish the Devil back to Hell or whatever there isn't much hope for season 5 being too interesting. Once you can take out the best of them, nothing else is a huge challenge. But there's the chance the end of season 4 will just be the Devil being released and thus season 5 could be a very apocalyptic battle the entire time.
