^ 2nd time in 3days I've gotten that by someone on my buddy list, and immediately afterwards they log. Can someone (mainly PC fluent) review wth that is?

I want to know if it costs money or something to go on the site. when u answer a question do u get free credits or is there a catch? and are credits free when u use the offers and answer question unless you buy them? what is this all about?

This is James and I helped build IMPlayin.com.

FF is short for "Friend Facts" and it's a little game we built. We didn't want it to be too mean, but the idea is that your friends answer "yes" or "no" questions about you and then you have to come to the site to see what they said.

The site will never cost any money. To reveal the answer you need to either vote on your friends or complete some of our free offers, both of which earn you credits you can use to reveal the answer.

We only send IMs to your friends when you actually vote for them -- sorry if we didn't make that more clear. It's how your friends find the site!

If you don't want to send IMs just don't vote on any of your friends. We're not trying to trick you.

The "ff" in ff.implayin.com is short for "friend facts." It's not a scam or a virus. Here's how it works:

When you go to the site and login you're presented with a random friend and a random question, e.g., "Do you think peter1234 is funny?"

You can then click "Yes," "No," or "Skip." If you click "Yes" or "No" that person will receive an IM from your account. We're not trying to hide that fact.

To see how your friends' answered you have to pay credits, which can be earned either by answering questions about your friends or completing offers.

When you first sign up we add an "IM Playin Bot" to your buddy list which lets you know, e.g., when you get credits from completing offers or when friends have answered questions about you. Feel free to delete it.

Trust is a big issue for us, obviously, and we hate to see people feel like they've been abused by our product. What can we do to make it right?

I'm not a bot. Also, I subscribed to this thread but am not seeing any emails when you guys reply. Is that working?

Anyhow, our site isn't spam or phishing or any of that. In fact, we had Netcraft review the site and we're on their permanent no-phishing list. (I'd link to their anti-phishing products but I can't put links in my posts because I don't yet have 10 posts on this forum.)

So...my original question still stands. What can we do to make the site trustworthy for you all?

You don't have to use it or even love it, but we want to stop the impression that we're scamming people.
