Well I just got an emulator, and I love Final Fantasy, but am looking for something new. I was just wondering, what are some RPGs that some BGers have come to absolutely fall in love with after playing them?
Oh and it's PS1, not PS2. So hope that helps.Any suggestions are welcome, thanks!

Chrono Trigger. Chrono Trigger, Xenogears and Final Fantasy VI are all I need to hole up and live to myself for a good year with RPGs.

Chrono Trigger, but the SNES is better. I think there were some loading issues w/ the PS version ;x
Can't go wrong w/ Xenogears, that's like the holy grail of RPGs, Grandia is awesome too, forgot about Wild Arms and Breath of Fire ;o

Well, if you havent ever played FFVI, I seriously recommend playing it. Its by far one of the best games (not just RPGs) ever made. Other good RPGs to look at from that era...
Suikoden 1 and 2
Secret of Mana
Chrono Trigger (and its sequel Chrono Cross)
Xenogears
Super Mario RPG
And if you are a real glutton for punishment and hard RPGs, give the Lufia games a try.

Not mentioned yet - SNES: Paladin's Quest
Decent story/graphics, great music, and a very unique art style that feels fresh even after all these years since its release. Battle system wasn't groundbreaking, but did have a few nice features that made it interesting. I thought it was great that you never had to press any face buttons during battle, as all of your commands could be input using the d-pad - good for giving your right hand a break for other things (ie, fapping)
It did have a few minor annoyances, such as cryptic item names, spells costing HP to cast, and some uneven difficutly toward the end of the game, but not so much that they ruin the entire experience. Definitely worth a play-through.
