Looking for something. Dunno where.

Well, I started FFXI back at NA PC launch, and played fairly steadily until Aion came out, but that didn't really work out in the long term for me. During this time, servers merged and the LS I knew doesn't quite seem to be the one I knew with old people quitting and newer faces doing their thing. Pair this with a couple people I didn't really get along with getting bumped up in leadership during this time and I find myself tempted to seek out greener pastures.

I guess you could say I'm looking for something between casual and endgame, which would probably consist of people burnt out from the rigors of tight schedules and point systems like I feel I am/was. Still, it's nice to have people around to alleviate the tedium of working on Trials or maybe doing some random event, mission, and whatnot and actually succeeding without major headache. If you don't seek out drama or don't laugh at the misfortune of others, even better.

Since I basically came back to a new, merged server, I'm opening myself to the possibility of just transferring to another. I haven't rushed anything to 80, but of my old 75s, THF/BLU/DRK/SAM will probably be my first four while patching up a few merit holes as the mood strikes. I'm done with RotZ, CoP, and ToAU, as well as ACP and MKD, so there won't really be any pressure in helping me there. I am interested in catching up in WotG stuff, but beyond that and lazy leveling, the only other thing I've had on my plate is Trials. I'd like to think I'm decently geared and know what I'm doing with the jobs I favor playing, but I won't deny a little rust might be present or need for reasonable improvement given the lighter nature of play I'm looking to find.

If you think I'd fit in whatever group you have, shoot me a PM. If your first questions consist of wanting my character name, server, and linkshell history, I'll just tell you now not to bother, as that gives me the impression your group probably won't be what I'm looking for. I haven't pissed in anyone's cheerio's, if that's the fear. Going from that, I'm not mean by nature, but I won't deny a temper when wronged. I'm fairly laid back, if not prone to corny jokes and commentary. Poke through my post history if skeptical, or just talk to me. Whatever happens from there will happen. Just lookin' to take it easy for now.

What time zone do you play in? I mean when are you usually on?

Eastern, usually early evening (5pm or so) and late into the night (~5am) if I'm up to marathoning. Most of our scheduled stuff wound up happening around 8pm, but we had a point where I was literally scheduled for shit 5 nights out of the week. Not really looking to repeat that since it usually meant "falling behind" if I'd rather go out for dinner or something.
