Remember when you could turn your gambits for any of your characters whenever you wanted to and control however many of your active party members you wanted to?
Well, in XIII... you can't. Enjoy your two gambit controlled allies, oh, and you can't even adjust the gambits at all. The computer will choose all of their actions even if you really only wanted them to do the annoying things you can't be bothered to do like keep buffs up.

Sorry, I hated Gambits - talk about dumbing the challenge down.
FFXIII's battle system is much better, in my opinion.

His question is why. Why is you spamming autofight and doing absolutely nothing for yourself better than you getting to choose what they do, when they do, if they even do at all?

Yeah dude, having two character fully controlled by gambits and another by a system that might as well be gambits (the default game mode, you know... where you just keep tapping X over and over) is certainly better.

I'd take that if there are loads and loads of cutscenes.
Long movie will be long.
And expensive, instead of buying it I could merge all extended editions of LOTR 10 times; and watermark Avatar.

12 is by far the most in depth system they've had for battle. 13's system is shiny, but not better. I bet a lot of the people in love with it would think it to be the devil if they stopped using the autofight setting.

I find it hilarious people are jerking off onto their PS3's about FF13's battle system when it's just a dumbed down version of FF12 (which they complain had a bad battle system) what the fuck?
