    Random PC Build Questions

Starting this because I'm going to have questions for the next few days about random pc building. I have a pretty good understanding about things. But i just like to Double/Tripple check myself before I commit to it.

So first Question Air flow. I have this case Cooler Master 690 II Advanced

The airflow im thinking about doing is this

"Blue for intake red/yellow for exhaust"

    Will this be just fine?

    If it matters. using an i7 930 2.8ghz w/ Noctua NH-U12P

not my case but how my heatsink looks/ what position im going to put it in

My Main and over all concern. IS should i have the Rear fan pulling in Cold air on the heatsink. Or pulling out hot air from the heatsink.

Thx sorry post huge like xbox

I have a different case but a similar setup: I have the back fan to be an outtake, also have the Noctua turned facing and blowing toward the top fan instead of how it is. I don't think it much matters which way you face the Noctua if both fans blow out but I'd personally leave the back fan as an outtake.

That fan at the rear of the case near the CPU heatsink should be exhaust only so that it's taking the hot air directly off the CPU heatsink and out of the case. Likewise you want both fans on the heatsink to be aiming the same way. Tho I don't see anything wrong with aiming the heatsink & fans towards the top exhaust fans. Actually it might even help take some of the heat off the northbridge too. Try both configs and see which one gives you better temps.

Edit: What cooler is that on the video card it's ballin'

V Done. Yay for blood, sweat, and tears. Blood from sandpapering my thumb. Tears from being 10 minutes from done. And realizing all my fans are blowing the wrong way.. Sweat from carrying this 10 ton giant back to my room.

Anyways heres the inside. Any tips on some cable management?

k Overclocking. Subject of todays random ass question.

I have Never overclocked before this will be new to me. Anybody got any good guides/videos on how not to blow up your computer?
    CPU i7 930 2.8ghz w/ a Noctua Dual fan Heatsink setup
(obviously from pic) > target clock 3.6-3.8

    Anybody got some tips. Do's & Don'ts.
