note: plz dont be a dumb ass and say shit like "lol e-machine" or get new pc. serious advice please.

How is he hooking up the computer to the TV? port types and cable types.

What resolution does the TV support? 720p / 1080p?

Most HDTVs don't support as wide a range of resolutions as your typical PC monitor. So, probably what's happening is that once Windows starts it's trying to use whatever resolution the monitor it was on was using, and the TV doesn't support it. Might want to hook it back up to a monitor and set the resolution to something like 640x480 and then try it.

Depends on the vid card too, and how youre connecting it.
Easy troubleshooting would be to hook both TV and monitor up, and use the vidcard control center to get the TV to work.

Try the 1366 x 768 resolution. my older 32" samsung tv used that as the native resolution.

All E-Machines were released with the guarantee "never obsolete" call up the e-machine tech support and complain, they'll send you a new computer or something

We got a bunch of computers upgraded at work that way
