House of Blues in Atlantic City?

So topic, anyone been there? I was thinking about checking out the Disturbed show there in October, but the only tickets left are GA for the floor. I've read the tix for GA are pretty good, but I honestly prefer switching between standing/sitting in concerts. Stubhub has balcony seats for over 100, which I'm saying fuck that to. Anyone have any "reviews" of the place? I checked online, but the reviews are either for the food, or very short.

I forget which one I saw the eagles at and which one I saw korn at. The eagles show I sat in seats, it was alright nothing special. These places aren't that big, they are inside or part of casinos. So expect a loud show either way. The one I saw korn at I think was upstairs in showboat, don't think it's house of blues, but it was all GA floor and the loudest fucking show ever, was awesome. Although it is a deathtrap if anything catches fire.

If any pyrotechnics are involved at all, doesn't matter how good the show is, go towards the back of the place nearest the exit. That is, if it's the small place where I saw korn.

Nj has a bad track record as far as clubs and small venues go in regards to fire codes and shit.

I saw the Flaming Lips there on the 4th of July and it was a magical fucking show. I actually opted to not get balcony seats so that I could be down on the floor. Of course, that has more to do with who I was seeing than the venue. I'm the type of person (as is my girlfriend) who likes to get close to the action for a show. The balcony is pretty nice and you'd be able to see from wherever you'd be sitting, but you'd get zero action. If you like to dance, mosh or get rowdy then you'll have little options. The floor isn't huge, and mostly covered by the balcony seating, but it's a pretty intimate venue and you'd have pretty easy access to the stage. I know we did.

The venue isn't bad at all. It's a pretty typical small venue kind of affair. I'd say it's a bit like Irving Plaza, but not as wide open.

Thanks for the input. Don't care so much about being able to mosh or dance, I like to go to concerts and just be casual about it. I'll get all into it, but I'm not one for being pushed around and all that shit.
