In a very recent interview with Spanish broadcast network Univision, Oscar De la Hoya, president of Golden Boy Promotions had the following to say regarding the negotiations for the heavily awaited clash between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

"Up until now, it's been a very difficult negotiation process for various reasons but right now we're very close."

"We're very close in finalizing the contracts that were once very complicated. The two fighters now realize that this fight must be made. It has to be made because the boxing fans want to see it happen and right now it's the biggest fight that can be made in the world."

"It's going to be a big, BIG fight!"

"I think right now we are very, very close in finalizing the contracts. I can't talk right now in detail about the negotiations but I will say that we are very close."

Really? The same fight were Mosley got tired at the 4th round and Mayweather just started riding the victory train all the way to Round 12? And even before Round 4 the only round Mosley won was Round 2? K

Seriously these guys just need to fight because they are pretty much the top of boxing right now. I complained about Pacman not wanting to do the Olympic testing and I still do since I don't buy that mojo bullshit, but hopefully they make some progress with this.

I'll be getting pretty decent-ish close seating for the fight. Whenever they decide to actual follow through

As for the fight, it really depends on how much Manny can do in the first few rounds. If he can't get some solid bodywork done, a cut on Floyd's right eye, or just super solid pressure for that small window there is a good chance Mayweather will pull out ahead with a decision win. I really don't see either scoring any kind of easy KO but any that do happen will be a definite game changer.

I will straight up pay for this fight to watch it on PPV. I haven't done that since De La Hoya times.

Gonna be one hell of a fight for sure(if it actually happens). And I'll definitely watch on PPV, which I haven't done in a verrrry long time.

I'd put money on Pacman by decision, but I'm really not sure.
