    Xbox 360 S HDD/replacement/clone cases. Are they out yet?

    So I picked up the 360 S 4GB a week or two ago. Did this mod below;

    For now, I have silicone rubber supporting the HDD from moving. But would like a more formal protective shroud. I was just wondering, has a third party company started producing the shells to fit in the slim? Or is it too early.

    Example of the replacement knock-off chinese cases made for the fatty version

    Never did get a reply on this, but thought I'd follow-up for anyone wanting to move their fatty HDD to a slim enclosure.

    Looks like the Chinese are hot on the trail for what I need.

    I thought microsoft released an update that prevented people from modding the HD and upgrading it? Am I mistaken or did people find a way around that already as well? I've been wanting a larger HD, but I thought I couldn't mod it any more, nor did I want to buy one at microsoft's prices...

    Just rumors. You can take out any 360 fatty HDD from its shell, pop it into the 360 slim. Shows the HDD as Microsoft Genuine in "Memory Management" of the console. All they did was literally change the enclosure. The HDD brands and specs are still the same too.

    250GB is the maximum for this mod that I'm talking about. If you're talking about the 500GB/etc. mods. I don't bother with those.

    250 is perfect. The mod I heard about only worked for the sizes that are officially available for, but buying an HDD on newegg is a fraction of the cost microsoft wants. Got the guide you used for that?

    Yeah I'm talking about the Slim.

    If you just wanna upgrade your HDD for cheap. Buy a 120GB from this guy.

    I can vouch for him. I've bought two 120's from him and never had one be bad. They're also Genuine "Microsoft Certified" drives so they show up as official in the Xbox Memory screen.
