VGA fans: the 2011 Video Game Awards are upon us! We've listed everything you possibly need to know about the event right here, so check it out before the show starts LIVE on Saturday, December 10 at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT.

The VGA Pre-Show

Can't get enough VGA? Make sure to tune-in to the live 2011 Video Game Awards pre-show, hosted by GTTV's own Amanda MacKay and Daniel Kayser. This year's pre-show will feature world premiere trailers, red carpet interviews with celebs from the world of gaming AND Hollywood, and a very special announcement from your VGA 2011 host, Zachary Levi. Additionally, tuning into the pre-show is only way you'll get to see EVERY award, as we'll be revealing winners live on the red carpet before the start of the VGA main show. Last, but certainly not least, Amanda and Daniel will be using YOUR Twitter questions in their red carpet interviews, so send @SPIKE_TV what you want to know about the year in games using hashtag #VGA.

The VGA pre-show, presented by Axe, starts at 7:30 PM ET/4:30 PT sharp, so be at vga.spike.com, or be square.

The VGA Simulcast

Once the pre-show has wrapped, keep those browsers on vga.spike.com, as the entire 2011 Video Game Awards show will be simulcasted for users in the U.S., Canada and Japan. Gametrailers.com will also be simulcasting the whole event, and VGA fans in the U.K. can catch the show at Ginx.tv. All of the VGA fun, all the world premieres of Alan Wake, Metal Gear Solid Rising, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron and more, right there, streaming live on your computer.

LIVE Voting

At this year's Video Game Awards, YOU have the power to determine the winner of two live voting categories: the NFL Blitz Cover Vote and Character of the Year. This year, you can be the judge of which athlete should be on the digital cover of EA Sports' NFL Blitz game, and tell us which video game character most rocked your year, with voting results being tallied live throughout the night. Voting will begin on these categories on Saturday the 10th, but you can preview the nominees now.

There's no better way to see which world premieres, nominees and VGA celebrities are buzzing the most on social media than checking out the official VGA Twitter Tracker, presented by Verizon. I could care less about the awards, choices are always laughable. I watch for the announcements.

These awards are beyond fixed. Or definitely seem like it. Less than it used to, but it's kinda ridiculous. This award show always makes me cringe with how bad it is. You almost feel awkward for them. At least NPH isn't hosting it again this year. He annoyed the shit out of me last year.
