http://www.siliconera.com/2010/10/27...north-america/Great news! As the headline above reveals Ghostlight has finally
managed to sign the successor to the awesome JRPG innuendo-fest
that is Agarest: Generations of War on PS3!
That's right, you heard it here first: Agarest Senki Zero is
coming to the SCEE territories, courtesy of Ghostlight.
This time we're working even more closely in conjunction with Idea
Factory to ensure we deliver the best possible game to you, the
fans. In addition we're kind of co-opting the testing of the game
with the SCEA publisher, the highly respected Aksys Games. Not
only will this give us the benefit of Aksys' awesome translation
skills (yeah, theirs is better, we know!) but we'll also be effectively
doubling the test time the game receives and working to ensure
that any differences between the US and EU versions of the game
are as minimal as possible. Hopefully this means that you - the
customer - win, whichever side of the Atlantic you're on.
Currently, plans regarding a release date and EU pricing are not
finalised (heck, we've barely even started), but rest assured that
we'll be looking to provide you with the ultimate possible version of
Agarest SZ to whet your appetites for more vaguely inappropriate
Soul Breeding and more double entendres than you can shake a
floppy stick at (woops, did it again!).
We're also planning to bring out an oh-so special edition of the game
alongside the regular version, so stay tuned for more information
on that (and its saucy contents) as and when we have it.
Oh and YES, this time we will be supporting Trophies.

Agarest Senki Zero is set a few thousand years before the first
game but you’ll still be busy choosing your ideal partner in order to
make sure your next generation do better in their adventures. The
story takes place in Agarest, which has been peaceful thanks to the
balance in power between the Light and Dark forces. One day, an
army from the Dark forces crosses the border and the first
generation protagonist from the Light forces save a girl named
Mimeru while on duty. He then secure a special “power” from her.
The main goals of the first two generations were revealed; looking
for a key object to defeat your enemies in the first generation and
protecting it in the second generation. Find out more after the
jump.
The Battles are the same as the first game, the maps, and the Soul
Breed System. Two new systems were introduced, The Feel Link
System and the Free Intention. There is also a Extra Mode.
Feel Link
A new system is introduced called the Feel Link System. The Feel
Link system is where the heroine's costume, and dialog depend on
their relationship level.
Free Intention
Another new system, you can build your relationship with the
heroines. This may result in new costumes,CGs, and items. This is
accessed by the City Menu.
Extra Mode
If you have Clear Data from the first game you can load it and
when you begin the game (After progressing into the game to a
certain point) you will unlock the Door to the Future. After you
enter you will be in the first map of the first game and you will be
able to visit all the other maps as well. You will get items, and
characters. Leo, his descendants, the heroines,Ellis and Dyshana are
unlocked free. However other characters (Zerva,Winfeld,Vira
Lorr,Sharona, etc.) must be downloaded from the PlayStation
Store.
