Combining audio

What prog can i use to combine audio w/o losing any quality?

For exapmle, let's say I have a song at 320kbps and I want to add the track from RainyMood.com to it (basically background rain), how would I go about getting them together so i don't have to open 2 instances of media player w/o losing quality on either?

Any multi-track audio editor can do that. Adobe Audition is pretty awesome.

my old school way of doing it was converting both mp3s to WAV files and then merging them and then converting it back to MP3 again. I suppose nowadays apps like Audacity will allow you to just slap a track on top and then reprocess it ? :/ -- i've never tried, but I used Audacity (free) to cut up MP3s before without the need to convert it to a WAV first.
